Salute to the General novel Chapter 2809

Mille Crescent Island was known for being a lawless land and the paradise of crime.

There was a town on the island full of low-rise buildings that were torn and tattered.

It seemed like one had entered a slum instead of a town.

However, one shouldn't underestimate the slum-like town.

There were hundreds of thousands of inhabitants here. Aside from the natives, the other inhabitants weren't to be trifled with.

Pirates, mercenaries, black market dealers, or other dangerous criminals could be found on the island.

To conclude, those who remained here were criminals who had taken at least a few lives before escaping here.

Fights, robberies, and murders often happened on this island.

It was an environment where survival of the fittest rang true.

A loud whirring sound was suddenly heard.

The people on the streets halted in their tracks and stared at the helicopter that emerged out of nowhere warily.

Despite being a lawless land, the island was sometimes frequented by Interpol agents barging into the island to arrest fugitives.

It was rare for Interpol to do that, for they wouldn't risk their lives coming here. However, the people still put their guard up at the arrival of the foreign helicopter.

Under everyone's wary gaze, the helicopter landed on the ground. Subsequently, a tall man hopped out of the helicopter deftly.

Clad in a black shirt and shades, he lifted the corner of his lips into a devilish grin. It was obvious his family was involved in illegal businesses.

A woman wearing a skin-fitting professional outfit and black stockings stepped out behind him. She was teetering on her high heels.

The woman's appearance immediately caught everyone's attention, for she wore a pair of gold-rimmed glasses that lent her a charismatic and seductive air.

They were none other than Nathan

and Ava.

Behind Nathan, Ava was observing him, seemingly intrigued by how arrogant and roguish he looked.
