Salute to the General novel Chapter 2835

Both Colin and Dudley drew their guns when Huey finished counting down. The men did everything almost simultaneously.

Dudley had always been the best gunner on the western side of Ariarica, even when he was just a young man.

He joined the army and would always be the best gunner in his squad, regardless of which team he was assigned to.

At that moment, he was known as the incredible gunner of the

Peacekeeping Forces, and he drew his gun as quickly as lightning.

Excitement filled every fiber in the warriors on site. Everyone thought that he was incredibly fast.

Dudley had drawn his guns a million times, and all that practice had made him an expert in the field.

His muscles were in top condition that day, and he gave the competition everything he had. Hence, he was much faster than he usually was.

When he drew his gun and pointed it at Colin, a single thought ran past his mind. This is faster than I usually am. It seems I broke my own record. This speed probably makes me one of the top gunners in the world, and Mr. Dunne will probably be hit before he draws his gun.

Dudley smiled confidently and was about to pull the trigger before he aimed perfectly at Colin.

Given his skills, he estimated that he could pull the trigger while he aimed the gun at Colin.

Not a second was wasted in that process, and it was a virtually perfect performance.

He could already see it in his mind. Colin would be hit and would fall into disgrace.

Unfortunately, his glee ended, and his smile froze in place at the very next second.

Bang!

Dudley's gun hadn't even gone off yet when he heard Colin's gun firing.

His pupils dilated, and his gaze shone with unending amazement and shock.

Colin actually fired before I could! How is that even possible? Did he draw his gun and pull the trigger faster than I did?

Those thoughts had just popped into his mind when Colin's bullet zipped forward and hit Dudley in the chest. The bullet was just a rubber bullet, and Dudley had his bulletproof vest on, but the impact on his chest was still powerful.

Dudley felt as though someone had delivered a devastating punch to his chest, making him fall to the side.

He lost his balance. While in that state, his finger instinctively moved, and he pulled the trigger in the process. Bang! He shot as well.

Unfortunately, his position had been altered, and so had his aim. As a result, the bullet flew in a different direction, away from Colin.

The worst bit, however, was that his imbalance, caused by Colin's bullet, prompted him to fire in the most horrifying direction there was. The bullet flew toward Nathan.
