With its mottled walls that were covered in vines and the cobwebs that could be seen hanging everywhere, Black Swan Castle was a terrifying sight to behold.
From the castle's windows, candlelight could be seen flickering inside, and the sound of a piano could be heard coming out from one of the rooms intermittently.
Creak!
Nathan raised his hand and pushed open the iron fence gate.
After that, he walked into the place unhurriedly, almost as if he was simply taking a stroll in his own backyard.
All was quiet.
However, Nathan could feel that countless eyes were watching him from the dark.
Regardless, he remained as calm as ever as he strode across the courtyard before pushing open the door of the castle and walking inside to the hall.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
Figures could be seen flickering in and out behind Nathan.
The next moment, a dozen men in tuxedos appeared behind him.
The door to the castle was shut with a bang, closing off Nathan's escape route.
Inside the ancient-looking yet elegantly decorated hall, Antonio was sitting in front of a piano, his expression one of intoxication as he played the instrument, fully immersed in his own music-filled world.
Standing next to him were Gianna and Kaiser.
Not far away, Ava could be seen tied to a chair. Her right hand was stained with blood as a needle was stuck inside a vein in her arm. Blood was dripping down from her arm and into a wine container.
When Nathan's eyes fell on Ava, his gaze went cold.
Antonio stopped playing the piano and raised his head to look at Nathan. Smirking, he applauded. “Haha, just as I expected, you actually came alone, Mr. Cross! I guess I wasn't wrong about you. You are indeed a loyal man! Even though your life must be more precious than your subordinate's, you couldn't stand to see her die. You still came to save her! You have earned my respect for this.”
