When Nathan saw her behaving that way, he knew Kerry had discovered his identity.
Eyeing the shuddering Kerry, he asked calmly, “Are you sure you know Nathan, the God of War?”
Kerry said weakly, “Mister, my hometown is in Wildefield of East Eurasia, and Cross is really my surname.”
Nathan did not expect Kerry to actually be a member of the Cross family. If that was the case, she was indeed somewhat related to him.
Realizing Kerry's action had attracted many strange glances from the surrounding people, Nathan said, “Please get up and talk.”
“Of course.”
After getting Nathan's permission, Kerry scrambled to her feet and stood nervously before him, looking like a student standing before her principal after making a mistake.
Confusion spread across the faces of Kerry's friends. They could not understand what was happening in front of them.
Nathan was about to warn her to not spread fake news and defame a person whimsically when a furious voice traveled into his ears.
“You rascal! You've been hiding here, eh?”
Kerry's face fell the moment she heard the voice.
Nathan, Colin, and Kraven turned around in unison. What came into their view was a tall and burly man who had a large burn on the left side of his face. On top of that, the latter was storming over with a group of subordinates.
The sight of this group filled Kerry and her friends with shock and anger.
They hurried to their feet and stood protectively beside Kerry, glaring at the scar-faced man and his people. They shouted, “Facescar, why do you guys have to make things difficult for a young lady?”
Facescar said coldly, “This nasty brat infiltrated The Dishonorables, unlocked thirteen locks at one go, and stole hundreds of thousands from Mr. Kane's safe. Mr. Kane has given us the word to capture her and make her life a living hell. So, this time, we're only here for her. For those who have nothing to do with this, it's best if you scoot to the side. Otherwise, you'll get injured in the process.”
Though Facescar was saying that to Kerry's friends, he was looking at Nathan, Colin, and Kraven.
