Salute to the General novel Chapter 2890

While reeling in his fishing line, Nathan said flatly, “I reckon this is the legendary Ghost Ship. According to the information we have, the Ghost Ship would moor at Lady Freedom Harbor for six hours to resupply. After that, the ship will leave the harbor quietly at dawn tomorrow. As such, our time is very limited. We must sneak into the Ghost Ship within these six hours and rescue Master, Hermes, and the others before escaping.”

Colin, Kraven, and Kerry answered in unison, “Understood!”

Soon, the huge old-style warship slowly came ashore. A group of mysterious-looking men in black appeared and surrounded the ship. It was obvious they were from Ariarica's secret service, tasked with protecting the Ghost Ship and preventing anyone from coming near it.

After the Ghost Ship docked, many crew members, soldiers, and various staff members came down from the ship one after another, talking and laughing among themselves.

It turned out that the Ghost Ship would only dock for supplies every three months. This meant that the people on board only had the opportunity to go ashore once in three months, and each time it would only be for a few hours.

As such, whenever the Ghost Ship would dock to resupply, the crew on board would seize this fleeting time to go and have fun ashore.

Not long after the crew left the ship, countless container trucks and forklifts swarmed into the harbor.

A steady stream of forklifts was then seen lifting the goods from the container trucks into the ship.

This would be the Ghost Ship's supplies for the next three months.

Hidden in a dark corner a distance away, Nathan, Colin, and the others were staring at the Ghost Ship.

Nathan said, “Although a lot of the crew has alighted the ship, I reckon there are still a lot of guards on board. Besides, the Ghost Ship is a prison hulk that is holding countless supreme beings, so I'm sure there are a bunch of elite fighters from Ariarica on board as well. Therefore, we must be on our guard at all times after boarding the ship. Otherwise, we might just very well lose our lives.”

Colin and the others replied, “Understood!”

Nathan added, “In order to find out the location of the people that we are going to rescue more effectively, we need to split up. Coline and I will be on our own, while Kraven and Kerry will be in a group. Any questions?”

Colin, Kraven, and Kerry remained silent.

All the while, Kerry had always been very respectful toward Kraven, addressing him as Mr. Macalister. As such, Kraven, who had been a loner for most of his life, had grown rather fond of the young woman. In fact, he felt he was able to experience the joy of having a daughter through Kerry.

Because of this, he had no qualms about protecting Kerry and watching over her after they boarded the ship.

Besides, with how proficient Kerry was at picking a lock, Kraven reckoned they would be able to spring Lothar out of his cell fairly easily. It was a win-win situation for him.

As for Nathan and Colin, since they were both from a military background, they preferred to operate solo as it was a more efficient way.

Once the grouping part was done, Nathan said, “All right, let's divide and conquer. If you find anything, use the wireless device to communicate.”
