Salute to the General novel Chapter 2898

As expected, the sirens went off rapidly again.

Loads of soldiers poured onto the deck, which was followed by the appearance of many men in black.

In the end, all the soldiers and men in black stood on both sides and made way for someone to pass through.

A man wearing a general's outfit and cap ambled onto the deck in his black combat boots. His well-built figure was clad in a black coat.

It was the commander of the Ghost Ship, Black Hole.

Behind Black Hole were Mable, the Four Kings of the Ocean, and the Twelve Spirits.

Those were the support pillars of the Ghost Ship.

When Nathan saw Black Hole, he smiled mysteriously. “At last, someone decently powerful has come.”

The white of Black Hole's teeth and sclera stood in stark contrast to his dark skin.

He resembled the demons in Adrune's legends. Fear would run down people's spines if they saw him.

While he studied Nathan, Nathan scrutinized him too.

Shock was visible in Black Hole's eyes when he got a good look at Nathan.

While the others didn't know who Nathan was, Black Hole did. He was aware Nathan was the world-famous God of War of Eurasia and the current president of Eurasia, who was also acting as the country's Chief Military Governor.

After the shock faded from his eyes, he sneered, “And here I wondered who was ballsy enough to break into the Ghost Ship. It turns out Eurasia's God of War has sent himself right to our doorstep and walked into our trap.”

Nathan frowned upon hearing that. Something's not right. What does he mean by walking into their trap? Does this warship have another function aside from keeping prisoners here? Maybe it intentionally advertised itself as a prison that could lock up powerful individuals to lure more capable experts here as they try to rescue someone. And when those experts arrive, they'll get trapped. Is that what's happening?

The idea made him uncomfortable. If my guess is right, it's possible that this place is a fly trap. In that case, it's unlikely Master is being kept here. It's feasible that tonight's rescue mission is a bust!
