Salute to the General novel Chapter 2906

Max was stunned and outraged. It was the second blow to his chest, and he was beginning to have trouble breathing.

When he saw Nathan coming after him, he turned to run. What he intended to do was to avoid Nathan's continuous attacks for a moment to regain his strength.

Hence, Max ran off, and Nathan pursued him.

Both were quick on their feet. With a few swift moves, Max began climbing up to the copper statue that was over ninety meters high—Lady Freedom, an iconic landmark at the pier.

With no hesitation whatsoever, Nathan went after him.

Max only stopped when he arrived on top of Lady Freedom's torch.

Right then, Nathan reached his spot and taunted, “Why don't you keep going?”

Max took the opportunity to suck in a few deep breaths to regain as much energy as he could. He then sneered and said, “Nathan, you forced me to do this. I'm going to kill you tonight!”

With that said, the man fished out a vacuum container and crushed it in his hands. After that, he took out a syringe filled with a liquid.

Without missing a beat, he raised the syringe and stabbed it into his chest before injecting the liquid into his body.

Nathan furrowed his brows.

In the next second, Max's body began to visibly change.

His muscles hardened further, and his veins and blood vessels manifested on his skin.

Even his bloodshot eyeballs were popping a little out of their sockets.

Furthermore, the aura Max exuded had changed. Black mist was coming out of him and circling him, making him look as if he was a demon who had just crawled out of hell.

Max gave Nathan a grin. “Do you know why the super-soldier project is called Project Genesis? It's because the perfect super-soldiers would be able to use a certain drug to unleash their potential to the fullest and emerge as a god! Nathan Cross, you're no longer facing a human; you're facing a god now! Tonight, you will die!”

Nathan could sense more pressure coming from Max, so he could guess that Max's power must have increased significantly as well.

Nevertheless, he remained calm and collected. “There is no god in my line of sight. Even if you are, that only means I will kill a god tonight.”

“Arrogant fool!” Max bellowed before he disappeared from Nathan's vision. In the next instance, he reappeared in front of Nathan and threw a fist at him.
