Jaymes wanted to contact Bryon, tell him his grievances, and seek justice.
Unfortunately for him, Bryon was in a meeting, and he couldn't come to the phone.
Max, in the Pentacle Tower, found out that Jaymes was calling, so he answered the phone instead.
Max couldn't help but frown when he heard that Nathan had cut off Jaymes' ear in Wallera.
Jaymes complained, “Admiral Max, the entire world knows that Wallera is protected by Ariarica. In fact, everyone knows about our affiliation. How could Nathan do that to me? He doesn't respect me as the president of Wallera at all. He cut my ear off in public! Don't you think he has crossed the line? He's such a bully.”
Nathan has beaten me to death at Lady Freedom Harbor. You've only lost an ear! What's the fuss about? Of course, Max couldn't say those words out loud. Instead, he comforted Jaymes by saying, “Mr. Jaymes, we hear you. Since you're an important ally of Ariarica, we won't sit back and do nothing about it. However, this is a feud between you and Nathan. We can't publicly intervene in a dispute between Wallera and Eurasia.”
Jaymes grew anxious. “Are you saying that there's nothing I can do about it? He cut off my ear!”
“That's not what I meant. I have a suggestion.”
“Go on.”
“Ariarica has a secret department that specializes in doing research. One of our most important scientific research subjects has gone missing, and Nathan has it. Our secret department is figuring out ways to retrieve it. In fact, our secret department has a lot of good fighters. I can instruct them to send a batch of fighters your way, and they can disguise themselves as Wallerians in order to deal with Nathan. However, let me be clear about something. Regardless of whether the mission fails or succeeds, we'll never admit that the fighters come from us. You'll have to take full responsibility for the mission. Is that okay with you?”
Jaymes was a maniac, and he loved wars. He had even written a love letter to the queen of Eagleland to tease her.
He was an utter madman who never considered the consequences of his actions.
