After that phone call, an entourage of cars sped through several red lights to reach The Pinnacle of Channing in under ten minutes.
“Quick!”
“Faster!”
Bodyguards rushed out of the cars and quickly got into position.
Immediately after that, two old men with similar features stepped out of the last car and hurried into the building with the bodyguards trailing after them.
Those two elderly gentlemen were the patriarchs of the Zarnowski family, Wylder Zarnowski, and his brother, Cristiano Zarnowski.
Wylder's face was a mask of fury.
However, no one could be sure whether he was angry because his son got into trouble or because someone had harmed his son.
Cristiano's expression, on the other hand, was one of grief and helplessness. He had begged his nephew to behave himself. Yet, he had gotten himself into trouble before the day was even over.
The two men led more than a hundred bodyguards into Cloud Palace.
The restaurant erupted into chaos.
There were a number of men lying motionless on the ground. All of those men were Sloan's bodyguards.
Wylder caught sight of his son kneeling on the ground. Blood was dripping down his face.
In front of him, a couple were enjoying their meal leisurely.
They must be the ones who bullied my son!
The other patrons were whispering among themselves and pointing discreetly at Wylder and his entourage. Someone in the restaurant gasped and said in a low voice, “The King of Fishermen, Wylder Zarnowski, is here!”
King of Fishermen?
Nathan was surprised when he heard the whispers around him.
At that moment, Nathan realized that Sloan's father was the owner of the highest number of fishing boats in the South. Wylder dominated the fishing industry and was known as the undisputed King of Fishermen.
Nathan had heard of Wylder before.
The South Army had needed to requisition several fishing boats yesterday. Thus, they contacted Wylder. The South Army had hoped that Wylder would assist them in mobilizing several fishing boats to be used by their navy temporarily.
However, being a shrewd businessman, Wylder had bargained with the army for payment. He had named an insanely high price, which had resulted in an unsuccessful requisition.
Zach cursed Wylder and called him a ruthless and unethical businessman. He had even promised that he would find an opportunity to teach Wylder a lesson.
Nathan turned toward the Zarnowski family and came eye-to-eye with the barrel of a gun.
He glanced at Wylder, who was stalking angrily in his direction with a group of men trailing after him. The corners of Nathan's lips lifted in an indecipherable smile.
The captain of Wylder's bodyguards took in the scene of Sloan kneeling on the ground in disgrace and the man who had bullied him and was eating without a care in the world.
His face twisted with anger. He immediately stepped forward to help Sloan to his feet. “How dare you bully Mr. Sloan?”
