Meanwhile, Zach was preparing to teach the Zarnowski family a lesson at the headquarters of the South Army.
To his surprise, the Zarnowski family sent someone to deliver a batch of fishing vessels.
Surprised, Zach asked, “Huh? Isn't the Zarnowski family famous for being wealthy and vicious? What made them suddenly come to their senses? Did they discover my plan to teach them a lesson?”
Zach's subordinate, Pallav Laarman, chuckled. “How could they have heard about the news when you've just decided to do that? Actually, I've looked into it, and it turns out that they've hit the fan this time. Wylder's son offended President Cross, who has secretly returned to his base in Channing...”
Pallav explained the situation to Zach, who smiled after listening to the former.
He scoffed, “Huh, serves the Zarnowski family right for committing so many crimes. Well, it's actually a good thing for their family. If not for President Cross giving them a second chance, I would've taught them a lesson they'll never forget.”
Pallav said, “That's why the Zarnowski family is providing us with the number of fishing vessels we need.”
“Very well. Since President Cross has given them an opportunity to make things right, we shall let them off this time.”
Right then, Pallav whispered, “Admiral Hill, President Cross' return to Channing this time might be out of concern for Daragon Island's situation. Should we go over and greet him?”
Waving his hand, Zach uttered, “There's no need for all that formality. Since President Cross is concerned about Daragon Island's situation, then we should do a great job at dealing with what's about to happen there. Tell Bronson to gather a troop of a hundred elite soldiers and disguise them as fishermen. Tell them to go to Daragon Island and prevent any enemies from stepping foot onto the island.”
“Got it.”
Zach then added, “I need you to lead an army of fifty elite soldiers too. Get them to disguise themselves as fishermen and provide Zach with reinforcement whenever necessary. One more thing, send out the announcement to the Southern Fleet that the break is canceled. All navy officers are to be on standby for the battle to deal with any unforeseen circumstances.”
“Yes, sir.”
For the next two days, Nathan and his family lived in seclusion in his old house in Channing, only ever leaving the house to meet with their closest relatives.
