Salute to the General novel Chapter 2980

Hidetake gestured for everyone to be quiet before he added, “I thought we could take Daragon Island without the Adrunians' help, but now I see that I was wrong to assume we were strong enough on our own. Still, it seems this matter isn't as simple as I thought. Nathan's already planted the Eurasian flag into the soil of Daragon Island, so we must respond with a strong hand. I'm afraid we don't have the time to wait for our allies' arrival; thus, we have to deal with Nathan on Daragon Island now.”

Immediately, the generals of the navy requested to go to battle, intending to avenge the Four Gods of Warrior.

However, Hidetake uttered, “I'm glad to see how eager you are to fight, but I'll be meeting Nathan on the island myself this time.”

Why? The others were puzzled when they heard Hidetake.

“General, you're far too valuable to be risking your life on the battlefield. Daragon Island is like an arena now for many have lost their lives there! Please reconsider, General Hidetake!” advised someone before the others chimed in in unison, “Please reconsider, General!”

Nevertheless, Hidetake did not appreciate the advice, though. “Reconsider? Why should I do that? Am I no longer a general because I'm valuable? What happened to 'True leaders lead with example'? Besides, I don't believe I'm as indispensable as Nathan, Eurasia's God of War. Not only is the man a Chief Military Governor, but he's also the head of his country. If even he braves the frontline, why shouldn't I?”

Rendered speechless by Hidetake's words, the others fell silent again.

Hidetake then waved his hand and announced, “It's decided. I'll head to Daragon Island personally in three hours. Those of you who'd like to go with me, change into something casual and board the fishing boats. As for those who lack the courage, I won't force you.”

Three hours later, more than a hundred Jetroinian fishing boats left the harbor with Hidetake in the lead.

More than fifty generals under his command, along with more than five thousand elite naval warriors, followed him.

All the warriors disguised themselves as fishermen as they made their way to Daragon Island.

Meanwhile, Nathan and Colin were playing a board game on the island.

Beside them was Myron making tea with a small clay stove.

Tap! Nathan placed his game piece before smirking at Colin. “You lost again.”
