Lothar endured the excruciating pain from his broken rib and looked at Nathan grimly. “I've underestimated you. I've only taught you a little back then, but you managed to build on that and become so powerful in just ten years. Your speed of growth is unbelievable,” he said slowly.
“The battlefield transforms people the quickest. I fought for ten years in the North, and the tough battles I've encountered are no less than the ones you have experienced in your whole life.”
Lothar was stunned upon hearing that, but he soon came to a realization.
That's right. Nathan may have learned Ancient Arts for only ten years, but his circumstances were different. The North has been at war for years, so he has been battling day and night in the past decade. Compared to that cruel and nerve-racking environment, the martial world is nothing.
Just then, a flurry of shadows flashed around them as the Heavenly Guardians and elites of Heavenly City rushed in.
All of them were concerned about the outcome of Nathan and Lothar's fight.
When they saw the two men still in a standoff, everyone had varying expressions.
Meanwhile, the Heavenly Guardians secretly exchanged glances.
They were surprised to learn that Nathan was powerful enough to have a close match with the Allfather. It was apparent that the young man's capabilities were way beyond their expectations.
If Allfather fails to defeat Nathan in the end, will we be able to defend ourselves against the latter? Instead of leaving some loose ends, we should join hands now and help the Allfather eliminate the God of War of Eurasia!
Indeed, Lothar was not confident about winning. Nathan not only had strong willpower but also immense prowess, and Lothar couldn't help but feel that the former was invincible.
Suddenly, he sneered as an idea occurred to him. “Nathan, you improved very fast. In fact, you're almost as good as me now. In a few years, it is likely that nobody in this world will be able to reach your level. Unfortunately, this is my territory. You won't be able to escape with so many of my people here.”
Then he shot a glance at Sadhu, Austeru, Aragon, and Merlin, signaling them to take action and help him get rid of Nathan.
Seeing that, Nathan smirked coldly. “Haha! We agreed to a duel, but now that you can't defeat me, you're getting help? Allfather, I have to admit that I'm starting to look down on you even more now.”
Lothar burst out in laughter at his words.
“As long as I can kill you today, I don't care about what you think of me. You may find me despicable for using these tricks, but after I kill you, the world will only see me as the great man who slayed the God of War of Eurasia. Who will remember the darkness that came before the glory of my victory?”
