Kylie was about to reply to his question when a figure suddenly appeared in front of their car.
What followed was a loud bang as their car crashed into said figure.
They assumed they had hit someone by accident, and the impact was so great that it triggered the release of the airbags.
Kylie was a little disoriented by the airbag that hit her in the face, but she didn't let it stop her from performing her duties.
“Queenie! Are you okay?” she called out from the driver's seat.
Although a little shocked by what just happened, Queenie was quick to reply, “I'm fine, Aunt Kylie.”
Kylie felt slightly relieved when she heard that, but her expression quickly changed when she recalled what happened. “Oh, no... I think I might have hit someone!” she said, her voice quivering.
She was about to get out of the car to examine the person she hit, but Sevan stopped her with a stern look in his eyes. “Don't get out of the car.”
Kylie froze and glanced at him in confusion. “Huh? Why not?”
Sevan stared at the rain pouring down on the windshield as he replied, “You didn't hit someone. That person crashed into our car on purpose.”
Kylie was so puzzled that she could only stare at Sevan in silence.
Noticing the confused look in her eyes, Sevan scanned the area around them cautiously and explained, “That figure we saw was charging straight at our car. If I'm not mistaken, that person was trying to force us into stopping the car.”
Kylie's face was filled with shock and disbelief when she heard that.
Seeing as she still didn't believe him, Sevan pointed at the airbags and severely damaged hood as he continued, “You weren't going very fast just now, and yet, the car looks like it had a head-on collision with another vehicle. I doubt hitting someone would do that much damage.”
