In the VIP ward of the Curia exclusive hospital, Sunburst Hospital, Wolfric was lying on the bed, watching the news.
There were two women with gorgeous figures dressed in nurse outfits on his two sides.
Even though they were wearing nurse outfits, the flirtatious way they acted made it obvious that they were clearly not real nurses. Instead, they were maids Wolfric's subordinates had hired for Wolfric.
The two beautiful women were lying beside Wolfric as he watched the news.
One was feeding Wolfric desserts, while the other was feeding him red wine.
Wolfric was not recovering from his injuries at all; he was enjoying his life.
Knock, knock.
Right then, someone knocked on the door.
Wolfric drew his brows together and uttered with a tinge of anger in his tone, “Come in.”
The leader of his guards, Durante Dalmasso, entered the room.
Durante ignored the two women beside Wolfric and saluted his superior. “Admiral Welz, Commander Cross is here and wants to meet you.”
Nathan's here?
A confused look crept onto Wolfric's face.
“Why is he here?”
As the leader of Wolfric's guards, Durante's job was to collect all kinds of information for Wolfric.
He immediately answered, “The vampire elites have staged a successful breakout recently, and Commander Cross has called for a meeting today. I'm guessing he's upset about your absence and has come to urge you to work harder.”
Wolfric sneered.
When he had been beaten up two days ago at the Shadow Research Institute, he felt he had been humiliated by Nathan and had been avoiding him.
In other words, he had deliberately skipped the earlier meeting.
However, he did not expect Nathan to come to the hospital to look for him.
Durante asked carefully, “Admiral Welz, are you going to meet Commander Cross?”
“Ha! Tell him that I'm grievously injured and that the nurses and the doctors are currently treating me. If he wants to wait, he can wait outside. I'll meet him when I'm done with the shot. If he doesn't, tell him that he's free to go back.”
