Nathan understood clearly that Lucius and his group had ill intentions. Even if he stopped Mentzer from performing the war dance, Lucius and the others would still find another excuse to cause trouble.
It's better to go with the flow and taking the problem head on.
Nathan smiled and said, “Since Mentzer himself wants to perform the war dance to liven up the atmosphere, let's all enjoy it. Music please!”
The palace orchestra immediately played the traditional war dance music of the Gods.
The next moment, the stirring battle anthem echoed throughout the Divine Palace, quickening the heartbeat of everyone present. Their adrenaline surged, filling them with a sense of excitement and anticipation.
With his head held high and chest puffed out, Mentzer strode into the open space in the middle of the banquet hall. Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, he assumed his starting position, ready to perform the war dance.
“Ha Yi!”
Suddenly, he let out a strange cry.
The booming sound gave Nathan quite a fright.
Immediately after, he launched into a vigorous yet strange dance.
On the whole, it bore some resemblance to the war dance of the people of Adrune from Earth. However, the movements were even more imposing and powerful, while the techniques were highly practical for actual combat.
In the beginning, Mentzer danced in a disciplined and orderly manner, but gradually, things started to change.
Gradually, he made his way toward Nathan. He danced around, throwing punches and kicks in front of Nathan. Suddenly, he reached out, and with a swift 'click', he drew a sword from the waist of a guard standing next to Nathan.
The guard's face drastically changed.
The rest of the guards, too, swiftly drew their weapons to protect Nathan.
Not far away, Hepburn, along with formidable warriors like Toothless and Solo, abruptly stood up.
Nevertheless, Mentzer wore a broad smile, waving his hand as he said, “Calm down, calm down. I merely wish to borrow the sword for a moment to show His Majesty a trick or two. His Majesty didn't say anything, so why are you all panicking? You surely don't think I pose any threat to His Majesty, do you? Are you overestimating me, or underestimating His Majesty's power?”
Nathan waved his hand, instructing his subordinates in a nonchalant tone, “Everyone, return to your seats!”
“Understood!”
The guards retreated to their original positions, while Hepburn and the others sat back down. However, their eyes were firmly fixed on Mentzer.
With an indiscernible smile, Mentzer said to Nathan, “Your Majesty, a mere war dance isn't thrilling enough. Allow me to perform a sword routine for you.”
