Salute to the General novel Chapter 3777

As night fell over the mountain, Nathan and his group concluded their visit to the sanctum and began their descent. The atmosphere was light, filled with conversation and laughter.

Unbeknownst to them, they had already reached the halfway point of their descent. While everyone appeared cheerful, Max's attention seemed divided, his eyes scanning the surroundings as if anticipating something.

Observing Max, Nathan allowed a knowing smile to briefly cross his face, a gesture that seemed both deliberate and accidental.

At that moment, a robust figure, draped in a cloak, suddenly emerged on their path, halting their progress.

Hepburn and her companions were taken aback by this unexpected obstruction.

Hepburn, with a gesture, brought the group to a stop and eyed the cloaked figure with suspicion. In a frosty tone, she demanded, "Identify yourself. Why are you obstructing our path?"

The mysterious individual was Lucius, the leader of the Four Emperors. His cloak concealed his identity, and he disguised his voice to sound cold and hoarse, sneering, "I am but a nameless soldier of the Gods, here to avenge our fallen God King, Medille."

A God came to avenge Medille?

Hepburn tensed up, as if bracing for a significant threat.

Dinko and Moblan, meanwhile, exchanged a confused look. They wondered if someone within their ranks, disapproving of Nathan, had emerged to seek vengeance for Medille.

The two Gods were visibly uneasy, concerned about being caught in the crossfire of this unforeseen threat.

Max, with a flicker of satisfaction in his eyes, loudly declared, "Such audacity! There is only one God King in the Divine Realm, and that is none other than Mr. Cross. The Gods have long since yielded. Your stubbornness only hastens your demise. Don't blame us for our response. Capture this man!"

At his command, several vampire warriors, each with the prowess of a vampire viscount, moved to apprehend the assailant, showcasing their loyalty and skill in protecting Nathan.

But before they could reach him, the cloaked figure, Lucius, sprang into action. With a swift draw of his sword, he stepped forward and executed a clean, horizontal slash, ready to confront his attackers.

Whoosh!
