Nathan raged when he heard the last sentence. "Patrick Ward, you are a coward!
I could finally teach Dip Turner a lesson, and I wanted to use those funds to make it up to the people in the South. You sent all the money back because of a mere threat!"
Patrick quivered in fear. "General, please calm down. I only returned the cash to the Schulz family. However, the luxurious properties that they own in Alberesque, and the family's Blue Sky Corporation and Ocean Corporation, have yet to be returned."
Nathan scolded, "If you dare give those properties back to the Schulz family, you can dream about keeping your position as governor."
He knew Nathan was furious, and he quickly continued, "However, the Schulz family calls me daily to demand their properties, so what should I do then?"
Nathan sneered, "I gave you a great opportunity, but you turned out to be useless. Forget it. Give the properties to Zach and let him handle the matter. Cross
Group will acquire the Blue Sky Corporation."
Patrick immediately responded, "Yes, I will do so this instant."
He hung up the phone in relief. Back in his office, leaders of the South surrounded him and were pestering him for an answer.
Patrick let out a sigh of relief. "The hot potato will finally be passed on. Zach will handle Dip Turner's properties. The General's wife from Cross Group will acquire the remaining Blue Sky Corporation"
The leaders relaxed when they heard the news.
The office director, Oliver, said, "Nathan and Zach will be splitting Dip Turner's assets. Zach Hill is too influential, so the Schulz family probably will not mess with him. However, Nathan has been concealing his identity all this time. If the Schulz family learns of his involvement, they will surely take revenge on him."
