Sydney's eyes narrowed alertly.
She wondered, 'What is Julien up to?'
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Looking at Sydney's wary eyes, Julien raised his eyebrows slightly.
Sydney grunted, "You know why."
"No." Julien shook his head, indicating that he didn't understand.
Sydney rolled her eyes. "Come on. Stop pretending."
"Oh? Then tell me why." Julien curved his thin lips.
Sydney pursed her red lips. "You know why I'm wary of you. You think my gratitude is not enough, and you want something else. Obviously, you are going to take advantage of me."
Seeing that his mind had been seen through, Julien did not panic at all and instead chuckled, "Then are you willing to fulfill my wish?"
Sydney moved her lips, just about to speak.
Julien interrupted her, "Don't worry. Since you are in this state now, I won't go that far to do anything to you. I just want you to kiss me."
He pointed to his face.
Sydney lowered her guard after hearing this.
At first, she thought that Julien wanted to take the opportunity to have sex with her again.
Therefore, she was extra cautious of Julien, afraid that he would really do so.
After all, her body couldn't stand it now, and she might even die in bed.
In the end, she was proved to have overthought it. Julien was not that heartless. He just wanted her to kiss him.
Compared to having sex, kissing him was an easy task.
Anyway, she could accept it.
Thinking about it, Sydney let out a long breath, pushed her face forward to Julien, and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Is it okay?"
"Yes." Julien wrapped his arms around her and nodded in satisfaction.
Sydney grunted, "Then hurry up and sleep. You must sleep. Even though you are strong, you are a human being, not a machine. If you keep harming your health, you'll fall ill one day, so go to sleep now."
After saying that, she hurriedly closed her eyes to give Julien a good example.
Julien looked at her pretending to be asleep, smiling and feeling touched.
She was looking out for his health, and he naturally felt happy.
"Okay, let's sleep." Julien turned the light off.
The room went dark.
Julien lay back down, swept Sydney into his arms, lowered his head to kiss her forehead, and murmured, "Good night."
Sydney's body stiffened for a moment.
After Julien closed his eyes and lay motionless for a while, she whispered slowly, "Good night."
Julien's eyes opened, gleaming.
Then he hugged Sydney a little tighter before closing his eyes again.
They were woken up by the doorbell after seven in the morning.
Sydney frowned before reluctantly opening her eyes, obviously not having slept enough. She felt upset.
Julien, on the other hand, woke up quickly. After he opened his eyes, the last trace of his sleepiness disappeared.
He lifted the covers, sat up, and turned to look at Sydney lying beside him. She was staring at the ceiling in a daze, which made him feel amused.
