Sold To A Billionaire novel Chapter 106

BILL came out from an old room and laughed as he pointed a gun at Helios.
“Hello, Helios,” he said demonically.
The man stopped a few meters from where Helios was. “So, Helios… let’s start some convo, shall we? How are you, my brother?” asked Bill as the muzzle of the gun still aimed at Helios.
On the other hand, Helios remained calm that even if he wanted to blow Bill’s head off, he couldn’t because his loved ones were inside.
“I’m not your brother,” he replied emphatically.
The man laughed. He put down his gun, and his men pointed theirs at Helios.
Zoe wiggles and tries to speak even though Helios can’t understand them. Helios glanced at her, and pity registered in the young man’s eyes. And his heart pounded fast when he saw his daughter lying on a wooden table, sleeping as Bea patted her.
“Do you like what you see, Helios?” asked Bill.
Helios turned to Bill. “No. Let’s end this. Let them go, and you can have me. I’m the only one you need, right?” he said and gritted his teeth.
Bill let out a devilish laugh. “Do you think I’m a fool? We’re still going to talk, Helios! Don’t you want to know why I wanted to kill you… as well as the important people around you?”
“Tell me.”
“I want this quick as possible. So, you fucking listen to me—”
“Go straight to your point,” he cut in.
“Let me tell you a story—”
“I thought it should be quick. Why tell me a story then? It took us hours if you start to—”
“Shut up!” the man pointed his gun at Helios. “Shut the fuck up! I can’t start the fuck up when you’re interfering!” Bill shouted in annoyance.
Helios let out a smirk. Okay, he will buy time first. He raised his hands, “chill, continue.”
“Your father and my mother were best of friends, way back in college. And your damn mother came into the picture and tried to snatch away my mother’s best friend,” Bill started, making him frown.
“My mother loves your dad. Intimate things happened to them. But your good-to-be-true father left my mom and married your mother. And your father doesn’t know that I exist—do you get me, Helios?
He did not answer.
“Because of your parents, my mother fell into a depression that she tried to take her own life. She almost died when I was just five. And it’s because of that fucking love. It was too hard for her when your dad left her. She brought the pain for years, until one day when I was ten, she hanged herself. She always had this suicidal instinct, thanks to your fucking parents. And I live alone in the dark!”
“Where did you hear that story?” asked Helios.
Bill smirked, “your uncle told me.”
Helios frowned, and suddenly, a man holding a cane approached Bill’s side.
Helios’s eyes widened. How?
“Long time no see Helios. Surprise!” said the old man.
“Uncle Lucio,” he whispered. “I thought—”
“You thought that I died that day when your mother died?” The old man shook his head. “Poor you. Here I am, alive and kicking.”
“Now, Helios, ask your uncle about the indecency your parents did to us.”
Helios’s fists remained clenched as he stared at the old man.
“So, you let me marry my sister? Chloe, your sister, was also my sibling—”
“Of course not!”
Helios wanted to laugh at Bill’s nonsense words. Guess he’s getting insane.
“Your reason Bill is too shallow. My mom has long been my daddy’s fiancé. They were childhood sweethearts. How come he loved someone else who happens to be your mother? Are you sure all the stories you’ve heard were true?”
“Shut up! It’s all true! And you! You always get everything. Even the boss likes you the most. It’s just always been you!” shouted Bill.
In the mafia organization, they called the ruler—the highest rank the big boss.
“You’re crazy,” said Helios.
“No!” said Bill and fired his gun. The bullet then grazed Helios’s left arm. Zoe sobbed loudly. His daughter just woke up, and the little girl started to cry. The gunshot wound to his arm was just a scrape. He held his arm and felt the red, sticky, hot liquid from there.
“You came to this point because of the false information you’ve heard from others,” he looked in his uncle’s direction before turning back to Bill. “Your envy started to eat you. I did nothing to you. If ever I had, you should’ve approached me. It would be best if you had tackled things with me. We used to be friends. You’re my co-captain. We had the same position. You’re also rich. I didn’t treat you poorly. I treat you as my true friend. Your hatred builds because of your belief that it’s because someone has been wronged, others deserve to suffer or be punished—”
“Shut up!” yelled Bill and fired his gun again at him, but this time, the bullet aimed in Helios’s direction was immediately dodged by a long, shiny, and sharp katana.
Assassin.
A man in a black suit was holding a katana and intercepted and dodged the bullet from Bill’s gun. Soon, its comrades quarreled and surrounded the place.
“Surrender now, and I promise you won’t get hurt,” said Helios.
Bill was already trembling in fear, but he stood still. He raised the phone he was holding and waved it in the air. “If I’m going to die, why not drag your beloveds with me?” he said. Bill was about to press the phone button when Helios immediately picked up his gun in his holster and shot Bill’s hand. The phone fell to the ground. The sound of the fired gun was the signal for the mafia assassins to attack—it’s all part of the plan.
People inside could not move anymore as the assassins pointed their sharp katanas at them. Helios walks closer to Zoe. He caresses the woman’s face.
“You’re safe now,” he stated.
He untied the woman and removed the cloth gag in her mouth. And Zoe immediately ran to her daughter, who was still crying. She then carried the little girl to calm her down.
