Sabrian had not seen her mother for ten years. Sometimes, she could not even recall her mother's voice and expression as she smiled no matter how hard she tried.
Sometimes, her mother’s voice and expression would appear clearly before her eyes.
Sabrina wanted to capture that moment very much.
However, those moments were only fleeting and what replaced them was still the blurry memories before her eyes.
Sabrina sighed and got off the bed.
Her body was still weak, but her spirit was much better than the broken-down state that she was in yesterday.
After regaining her composure, the first thing Sabrina thought of was her daughter, Aino.
Once she thought of how her daughter looked as she stood up to protect her mother, Sabrina gritted her teeth and wept.
She must be strong!
She came out of the bedroom, and she took out a simple and professional outfit to put on and went to the child’s room.
The little girl did not sleep much the night before yesterday, so she went to bed very early last night.
Also, she had been sleeping soundly with her body curled up.
When Sabrina woke Aino up, the first thing Aino did after she opened her eyes was to raise her little hand and touch Sabrina’s forehead. After that, she nodded and muttered to herself, "Yes, it has finally stabilized, and there's no fever anymore."
Sabrina smiled and said, "Little warrior, mommy thank you for taking care of me."
Aino asked in surprise, "Mom, you're not sad anymore?"
Sabrina showed Aino her fist and said extremely firmly, "With my daughter protecting me, both of us will be unstoppable and will ward off any demons or ghosts who come at us!"
Aino said, "Yes! I am Mommy's little warrior!"
"Get up, baby!" Sabrina picked up clothes with a bit of warrior style for Aino and helped her put them on.
When the mother and daughter came out, they saw Aunt Lewis carrying the breakfast from the kitchen to the dining area.
