Sabrina was baffled by the woman’s hostile response. Even Aino also looked at her mother with great awkwardness. When Aino looked at that woman, she had a slightly timid expression.
However, the woman suddenly apologized. "I'm sorry, Mrs Ford, I...did not control my emotions well..."
Sabrina raised her eyebrows. "Why? What happened?"
The woman sighed. "Mrs Ford, I'm actually just a person from the working class. I truly can’t compare t o wealthy people like all of you. You see, my daughter stepped on your husband's shoe the day before yesterday. I squatted to wipe his shoes, and even your husband despised me..."
Sabrina remained calm and composed. "Are you annoyed because of this?"
The woman said coldly, "How is it possible?"
There was a pause before she added, "I’m just talking about facts of the situation. The wealthy and extravagant people and people from the working class, like myself, are from two different worlds. I have never thought about integrating with all of you. I won't be bothered about it in this life! Even if I am so broke that I had to beg for food, I will also beg for food at the doorstep of you wealthy people!" "What are you trying to say?" Sabrina asked bluntly.
Jennifer’s mother said, "So, please, Mrs Ford, could you please help tell those wealthy housewives in your circle of friends that I truly don't want to join their group! Alright? I truly don't have the time. I am very busy with work every day, and I have to take care of m y child by myself. I don’t have the extra money to be comparing bags, extra energy to be comparing everything and even comparing men. I just don’t."
Sabrina smiled with an encouraging gaze. "Okay, I’ll help you."
Only then did the woman breathe a sigh of relief. She then thanked Sabrina coldly, "Thank you!”
After saying that, the woman held Jennifer by her hand and then walked into the kindergarten.
Sabrina was confused. She had been aloof back then, but that was only because she needed to resist the bullying from the outside world. Whenever someone was to give her a little bit of kindness, she would smile brightly like a blooming flower.
However, this woman was truly aloof. Sabrina could not help but admire her.
