Sean raised his hand and touched Holden's cheeks that had greenish black stubbles. "It's...my fault."
Holden said, "What...what did you say?"
Sean repeated seriously. "I said, you are my son. I already know that you are my son!"
Holden raised his leg and kicked him. “Get lost!"
Sean winced. "My son, you can't be so emotional and act on your impulse. I am your father. I will not harm you..."
"Sean Ford! You will not harm me? I didn't even have the right to be born! My mother had to secretly give birth to me on Star Island and give me away to the Payne family! Now, more than thirty years had passed, she had already passed away, and yet, I didn’t even know she was my mother, let alone that I have a father who is one of the richest men in South City.
Now, you're telling me that you will not harm me? Old geezer! If you hadn't taken advantage of me being drunk at her grave and had me tied up, do you think you can still be alive now? I would've killed you at her grave!" Holden yelled. 1
Sean still did not get angry. "If killing me could make you feel a little better, then I will let you kill me."
Holden was speechless. He was unexpectedly speechless.
Sean continued. "However, you are just in your thirties now. You're not married and haven't had children yet. There's still a long way to go in your future, so I want t o make it up to you."
Holden could not help but to take another look at Sean.
Sean nodded. "What I said is true. I want to make it up to you."
Holden’s tone became a little softer. "You’ve captured me at her grave, so you must have been there, right?"
Sean nodded. "I've been there."
"Have you knelt and apologized to her?" asked Holden.
Sean was speechless.
