In contrast, there was nothing special about Selene. She was much like ordinary flowers that blended into the background of sceneries.

The two silhouettes kept crossing Sebastian's mind. Sabrina, who was always surrounded by men. Yet, even though she was always with different men, Sabrina had admitted to him before that her motives were not impure. Yet, the image that remained in Sebastian's mind was that of a cold and aloof Sabrina, with her prideful gaze.

Sebastian imagined that was what she had looked like as she took away Kenton's manhood.

Another image he couldn't get rid of was that of Sabrina raising her arms to block the daggers meant for Nigel. The same scenes replayed over and over again in Sebastian’s mind.

Selene was the woman who saved his life and had his child. No matter how much he hated her, it was a responsibility that he needed to bear.

That afternoon, Sebastian remained at Grace’s grave for several hours, and only returned when night fell.

That same morning, Selene had called the dress shop, as she didn’t really have anything else to do. She asked if the store had any new dresses in, and to notify her if there were. To her dismay, she was told b y the salesperson that they had already stocked new wedding gowns since yesterday afternoon, and that they had already informed Young Master Sebastian of it.

Selene was then told that Sebastian had ordered the salesperson to randomly pick out a gown for her. 1

This made her absolutely furious. So much so that she screamed at the employees at the shop, "Do you not want to be in business anymore?! You had the audacity to call my fiance and ask him about wedding dresses! He's a man, what would he know about wedding gowns?! Shouldn’t you have called me instead? Huh!"

"Yes yes, I'm sorry Miss Lynn, sorry! Sorry!" The employees at the store took care not to offend Sebastian’s fiance.

"All of you listen here! As long as it’s new stock from yesterday, even if you have already sold it or reserved i t for somebody else, recall it all back for me! Only when I've made my pick can the other women have the chance!" Selene shouted arrogantly. 1
