"Do you want to know now?” Selene asked, full of glee.
Sabrina looked at Selene with a dark expression. " Who is he?"
"Why don't you take a guess?”
"A criminal in prison, waiting for the death sentence?" Sabrina didn't have a clue. When she had met that man, he was clearly being incarcerated.
Selene shook her head. "Sabrina, you definitely won't b e able to guess it, so let me just tell you. Early tomorrow morning, at seven. We'll meet at the Forever Tea nearby, and then I'll tell you everything properly, okay?"
"Why won't you tell me now?!" Sabrina demanded.
"Hey, it's already getting late now. If I'm going to tell you about it, I would need to start from the very beginning. You know I'm pregnant, just like you now. I have Young Master Sebastian’s child in me, do you know how valuable that is? I can't afford to be careless, and need to head back before the sky turns completely dark. If you really want to know, I'll tell you early tomorrow morning. Remember, Forever Tea, okay?"
Sabrina, still not convinced, shouted, "What tricks are you trying to pull?!"
Selene smiled, "Don't worry, you'll already be leaving the day after tomorrow, what tricks could I possibly pull? Furthermore, in my current position, with the Ford family adoring me this much, I could easily get rid of you if I wanted to. Why would I need to play tricks?”
Sabrina was left speechless, but she knew that Selene was right.
She contemplated it. Since she would only be on the train in two days, she had the whole day to herself tomorrow. If Selene wasn’t lying, and the father of her child was still alive and well in this city, then Sabrina couldn't pass up a chance to meet him, just to give the child in her belly some closure at the very least.
After a while, Sabrina agreed to meet Selene. "Okay, do you have any conditions?”
Even if this wasn't a trick, there was no way Selene would tell her a secret like that without expecting something in return.
"Of course." Selene answered slyly.
"What are the conditions?"
"I want that green pendant my mother in law gave you, the one that's worth fifty or sixty thousand!" Selene said fiercely.
