"But that's because my aunt..." Marcus started.
"This has nothing to do with your aunt! So what if that woman has a few similarities with your aunt? You said that Sabrina looks like your aunt, but if it's up to me, I would say that Sebastian Ford's fiance, Selene Lynn, looks like your aunt as well!" The Old Master yelled in frustration as he struggled to contain his urge to kick his grandson.
"Lynn who?" asked Oliver.
The Old Master sighed and explained. "As you all know, Sebastian Ford is a vicious man who never hesitates to get his hands dirty. The Lynn Family provided a lot of assistance when he struggled to gain the upper hand back then, especially Lincoln Lynn's daughter Selene Lynn. She sacrificed herself to save Sebastian Ford. When Sebastian Ford was in danger, she offered her innocence in exchange for his safety and is now pregnant with his child. Sebastian Ford might be cruel, but he's also a responsible man. Given what had happened before to his mother, it is only natural that he wouldn't want the same thing to happen to his child and the mother of his child. I could tell that he does not love Selene Lynn, but even s o, that is the Ford Family's affair. Marcus, how could you allow yourself to be manipulated by Sabrina Scott and interrupt Sebastian Ford's wedding! Huh? Are you out of your mind? You tell me right now, where is
Sabrina Scott? This is the trouble she had caused, she needs to come forward and face the consequences! Where is she?" 1
"Father!" Oliver finally seemed to have comprehended the situation that Sebastian was married to the daughter of the Lynn family, Selene Lynn. "Father, are you saying that...Sebastian Ford is getting married to Lincoln Lynn's daughter? And her name is Selene Lynn?" Oliver asked emotionally.
"What's wrong?" Old Master Shaw looked over at his son, confused.
"We spent three months searching for my little sister when she first went missing and though we didn't find her, we managed to catch on to some leads as to where she might have been. We found our way to a factory that she once worked at. The old man that managed the factory told us that twenty-five years ago, she was in love with a man with the family name Lynn."
"Lincoln Lynn?" The Old Master Shaw was stunned.
"Lincoln Lynn comes from the South City as well. Did you say that Selene Lynn looks like my little sister?" asked Oliver.
There was no reply.
"Could it be..." Oliver's voice trailed off, unsure of what he was about to say.
Marcus, who was standing behind them, was rendered speechless at the sudden turn of events. Could there really have been such a coincidence? Selene Lynn was the daughter of his aunt? No!
Marcus was unwilling to acknowledge the possibility. He did not wish to consider Selene Lynn as the granddaughter of the Shaw Family. Marcus might not know much about Selene Lynn, but the few times he had encountered her was enough to leave an extremely horrible impression in his mind for the woman.
The Old Master Shaw was lost in his thoughts, considering what might have happened with Lincoln Lynn, and seemed to have forgotten about educating his grandson for the time being.
While the Old Master was discussing the matter with his son and daughter-in-law in the living room, Marcus had snuck out and called Zayn. If he remembered correctly, Sabrina had been adopted by the Lynn Family. Sabrina's resemblance to his aunt, her identity as the adopted daughter of the Lynn Family, and now to top all that, Lincoln Lynn was once in a relationship with his aunt? What a chain of coincidences! He dialed the number hurriedly, only to find that the person he was trying to call had turned off his phone.
