As Malvolio fell over, Sabrina immediately was able to take a breath of fresh air. She had no time to see who was the one who attacked Malvolio. She ran towards Sebastian like a little girl. She had never felt her husband's chest as warm and great as that moment. She felt that it was so safe to be living by her husband's side.
"Sebastian..." Sabrina sobbed.
"Sabrina!" Sebastian hugged Sabrina tightly in his arms.
"Sebastian, am I...still alive?" Sabrina raised her head and looked at Sebastian with both her eyes welled with tears. It was a nightmare that she thought she would never wake up from. Although Malvolio did not do anything to her and although she had been calm, composed, and not fearful, God knew how terrified she was. She was afraid that she was not able to see her man again. She was afraid that she would be forever separated from her man and her child in the lands of the living and the dead. She was always afraid all the time. However, she was reunited with her man at that moment, and that was not a dream.
"You are still alive. You're still alive, Sabrina. You're still alive." Sebastian hugged Sabrina in his arms.
"Our child. Our Aino...," Sabrina asked.
"She is very well. Our Aino is like me and also like you. She had inherited both our strengths. Our child is very brave. She is very safe now. Let's go back. You'll b e able to see her soon. Come on. We'll go back now. You need to see a doctor."
After saying that, Sebastian bent his body and wanted to carry Sabrina up in his arms. However, Sabrina's belly was too large, so it was not easy to carry.
Sebastian wanted to adjust their posture, so he put Sabrina's back towards Malvolio. A black gun barrel was right at Sabrina's back, but Sabrina did not know.
"No..." A sharp voice rang out.
Following that, a dull sound sounded. Sabrina was stunned. She turned around. At the same time, Sebastian also raised his head and looked behind Sabrina.
A man fell to the ground. A blood pool appeared on the front of his chest. That blood pool was spreading out slowly and started to turn a bright red.
Sabrina was stunned for a while. She did not see how Malvolio, who was holding a gun, was pinned to the ground by Sebastian's men. She also did not see how Isadora called for her brother hysterically. At that moment, Sabrina's eyes were only focused on the man laying on the ground and in a pool of blood. That man was still chained on one of his hands. His other hand was covered in blood from the wrist to the thumb.
Sabrina only realized after taking a closer look that this bloodied hand had no skin and was covered in
fresh blood and flesh. Also, the thumb seemed to have been broken. It was as if this hand was forcefully broken free from the chains. That was why the entire hand had no skin on it at all and the thumb also seemed to be broken from the struggle.
That man was crawling towards Sabrina. However, every single time he crawled forward, he only moved a few centimeters.
"Sabrina...," Holden only called out one word, blood was gushing out of his mouth.
"Sabrina, you're alive...it's good that you're alive. I love you, Sabrina. I finally used my body to save your life and the life of my...my little nephew. I...really wanted t o see if the child is a boy or a...girl. I really wanted to let the child...call me...Uncle..." Holden had no more energy, so he was unable to finish his final word.
