Sabrina sighed. "That future mother-in-law of yours had given Alex a call today."
When she heard those words, Ruth instantly became dazed. She had always been a forgetful person. She had originally been very worried about her own situation. However, because of Isadora and Minerva's matters, she had already forgotten about her own matters. She suddenly recalled it after she was reminded by Sabrina at that moment. The original purpose of Ruth coming to Jane that day was to understand more about her own future mother-in-law.
"Sabrina, say...what should I do?" Ruth suddenly asked with a sullen face.
Even Aino pitied her when she saw Ruth's look. Aino patted Ruth's back. "It's fine, Aunt Ruth. It's nothing. Don't worry. My mother is here to handle everything."
Sabrina could not help but glance at Aino. You said your mother would be here to handle everything. Your mother was not almighty! Sabrina took a long and deep breath. "Ruth..."
"Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Sabrina, go ahead. I'll do as you say. I'll do everything as you say." Ruth had always been very obedient to Sabrina. Firstly, it was because Sabrina had once saved her and helped her. Secondly, Sabrina was Ruth's mentor in terms of her work and career. Sabrina was seriously a mentor to Ruth. The person that Ruth was most grateful for in this life is Sabrina. She treated Sabrina as her family and as her own elder sister. Therefore, anything and everything Sabrina said would be blindly respected by Ruth as if i t was sacred teachings.
Sabrina smiled. "It's actually nothing much. I just wanted to tell you that all of us have had it rough."
"I know that, Sabrina. I know." Ruth nodded.
Sabrina continued. "Look at me. Aino's grandfather had actually hurt Aino that bad back then and he almost caused me to die, but I still had to...forgive my father-in-law, didn't I? Do I have the slightest bit of kinship with my father-in-law? Not in the slightest bit. However, Sebastian was different. Sebastian had already lost two loved ones. Although he said that he i s not close to his father, everything that Sebastian has right now was passed on to him by his father. His father was just rather cold to him, but he still loved him very much. Sebastian, on the other hand, also cared about his father in his heart. It's just that he doesn't talk about it. Therefore, Ruth, look at me, even i f I clearly knew that Aino's grandfather was bad to her back then, I also chose to forgive my father-in-law. This is a kind of tolerance in a family. Sometimes, even if we know that we are at a disadvantage, we also have to be tolerant. Ruth, you love Ryan, right?"
Ruth nodded. "Of course! We've been in a relationship for more than two years. I love him very much!" "Therefore, for the sake of Ryan, you have to change your temper a little. When you're in front of your mother-in-law, you have to do your best to be a little more ladylike for the sake of your husband," Sabrina very kindly advised Ruth.
Ruth nodded her head heavily. "Yes! Sabrina, anything you say. Everything you do is right and you will never harm me. I'll do as you say."
Sabrina nodded, she was very relieved. "However, Ruth, you have to be tolerant, but you also can just put up with everything. Do you understand? You're able to stand on your own two feet. You don't need to rely on anybody. Just with your knowledge again, you can find great architectural related jobs in both South City and Kidon City. You'll never have to rely on the Poole family to support you. Under the circumstance where you have to be tolerant, you also have to live with pride. If it's your fault, you have to be brave and admit i t. If it's not your fault, even if your legs were beaten and broken, you also can't admit it. Do you understand?"
Sabrina was teaching and leading Ruth by example, but after all, Ruth was not her. Ruth also could not be a s flexible and confident as Sabrina. However, she was willing to listen to what Sabrina had to say.
