"I knew something was off when Sebastian Ford came looking specifically for a Section Head like me, instead of going to the filthy rich when he first arrived in the Ciarrai County. I had thought that maybe he was taking my brother's connection to the mafia into account, but now I'm guessing that has nothing to do with this," Mr. Sullivan mumbled as he tried to calm himself, "Ford probably knows that our son goes to the same kindergarten as Aino Scott."
"Well then, why would he join hands with us to bully his own daughter?" Mrs. Sullivan was puzzled, still.
"Do you even know anything at all??" Mr. Sullivan roared and instantly silenced his wife from questioning him any further. Mr. Sullivan then proceeded to grab his son’s hand and started his way out, all the while barking, "we need to go home immediately to pack and run for our lives. Hurry!"
"I don't want to!" Leo screamed and cried along the way, "Aino Scott still hasn't kneel to me! I want to beat her! I want her to admit defeat!" 1
"I'll teach you to admit defeat, you insolent brat! How dare you bring this kind of trouble upon us!" Frustrated, Mr. Sullivan began throwing punches furiously at Leo, who wailed in pain. It was only after some of the anger had faded when Mr. Sullivan came t o and yelled at his family once again, "enough! We
need to get going before Sebastian decides to come back!" 1
With that, the three ran from the hospital like they had been chased by a ghost.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Sebastian had followed Sabrina and Zayn back to their house. It was a cottage situated at the edge of the outskirts, only that the design was more delicate in comparison to any other house. After all, Sabrina was an architect herself who had professional expertise on construction, it was only natural that she would apply everything she knew to build the house for her family. Surrounding the cottage were small fences that protected the flowers and edible plants within them. Over on a spot that was closest to the indoors and had access to sunlight was a platform that served as a balcony.
"You do seem to be enjoying yourselves here," Sebastian commented casually as he stood outside the fences and studied the sight before him. His voice remained calm without a trace of anger, but still, sent chills down Sabrina's spine.
It took every last strand of strength with Sabrina to at least remain composed on the outside as she stared wordlessly at Sebastian . Now that he had found her, she knew there was no escape. The only thing she could do was to try and savor what was left of her pride. While she was drowning in her own thoughts, the man was studying her as well.
It had been six years and it seemed as though she hadn't changed at all, time had only enhanced her beauty. Six years ago, she had just been released from prison. She was helpless and haunted by her past while having to deal with her unexpected pregnancy, she never laid hands on any clothing of good quality, not to mention being anywhere near skincare or makeup products. After all that time, she was finally dressed properly with just a touch of makeup that added a sense of maturity to her beauty. Her expression showed the composure that she did not possess six years back, the sort of composure that was distant and indifferent. 1
"Kill me or torture me, I don't care. But Zayn is innocent so please leave him out of this!" Sabrina said in a flat tone.
"You think you have nothing left to fear for yourself, d o you?" Sebastian sneered.
Sabrina did not respond and just then, a few vehicles appeared out of the blue and parked outside the house. Both Sabrina and Sebastian turned around to find well-dressed people stepping out of the cars.
"My oh my, Master Sebastian! If only you would just throw a hint my way that you would be gracing Ciarrai County with your presence, I would have prepared the grandest welcoming party for you. How embarrassing it is for me to only find out about your arrival now, my deepest apologies..." One of the men fawned over Sebastian, apologizing with such caution as though he was handling a bomb.
"That's right, Master Sebastian. Had we known you would be coming to Ciarrai County, I would have personally waited for you at the highway...Master Sebastian, do allow me to apologize by treating you to lunch at the Grand Star Hotel," another man bowed respectfully while trying to wipe off the sweat on his forehead. More and more cars seemed to follow and appeared on the sideway.
