From then on, all the news that she learned about her uncle was so perilous. Even in those precarious situations, every time there was news from him, he would tell her that a part of his property was given to Minerva. He wanted Minerva to stay in school, study hard, and not rely on others. Minerva remembered every single word her Uncle had told her. He was also the only family in South City that Minerva had missed. She missed him more than she missed her parents.
However, her uncle had died. Her uncle, who was so sorrowful, who needed a family's love, who was so cold yet incomparably weak, had died. Minerva had lost her only family in South City and also that affection.
A few years had passed, and at her Uncle Holden's death anniversaries and birthdays, as well as Minerva's own birthday at year, she would visit him at his grave. It had been a few years, but Minerva had never forgotten about him, so much so that Isadora, who was most fond of her Uncle Holden, had also become good friends with Minerva. Both of them were like a family and they had missed Holden together. Could it be that Minerva had missed her uncle too much that she began to have illusions?
Minerva had seen a figure wearing a lab coat flash by i n the hospital. The person's height, fair, figure, and also the way he walked were exactly the same as her Uncle Holden. The only difference was her uncle did not wear a lab coat but that person was wearing one. 1
Minerva was stunned there and then. She absolutely could not believe her eyes. After being stunned for a second, she blurted out. "Uncle?"
However, that figure did not look back. That figure walked away in a flash instead. Minerva was initially going to look for her mentor, but at that moment, she had completely forgotten about that. She immediately ran like mad to chase after that figure. However, after she rushed over and turned a corner, that figure had vanished.
Had she been mistaken with what she saw? No! That must not be it.
Minerva went back and forth shuttling between several departments and consultation rooms. Every time she saw a man in a lab coat, she had to pull the man over to take a look. She was certain that she absolutely had seen it right earlier on. She was not short-sighted and her vision was great.
'Uncle! Uncle!' Minerva chanted silently in her heart and searched the South City Hospital like she had gone mad.
She had searched through every single floor of the entire hospital, and she had completely forgotten that she needed to report to her mentor. It was not until she had searched through the place like mad for more than an hour, was covered in sweat, and was incomparably dejected that Minerva had received a call from her mentor.
