Vireo's hand only hesitated for just a moment. He turned his head back and looked at the police officer, who was aiming at him, then he smiled coldly. "Fine. Kill me then."
The police officer was speechless.
Vireo no longer looked at the policeman anymore. He glared at Mira as if he had already been possessed. He had no intention of staying alive. He simply wanted to let this woman receive the harshest punishment possible. He raised his hand and viciously drove it down again. Right when the scalpel was only a centimeter away from Mira's aorta, Vireo was shot. The scalpel instantly slipped off his hand. After Vireo looked at the hole in his chest with his eyes widened, he slowly fell over.
A few seconds later, Mira was saved. Vireo, who was injured, was pinned to the ground by a few police officers and he was instantly captured. Killing someone in public was too terrible of a behavior. It was fortunate that the person who was holding the gun was not an executioner, but was a kindhearted person instead. He did not hit Vireo's vital organs, but i t was just a centimeter shy.
Vireo was rushed to the hospital for treatment. At the same time, the onlookers also started to whisper to one another.
"Well, he truly was an ungrateful man from a lowly background. They provided him for his basic needs, gave him a career opportunity, and in the end, he ended up killing people."
"I have also heard that his parents back in the county weather he came from would come to the provincial capital for a raid every now and then."
"They truly have raised an ungrateful jerk."
"I have really learned a lesson. In the future, when my daughter gets a boyfriend, no matter how talented, good looking and how good his job is, as long as he is a man from a lowly and rural background, I absolutely would not accept him! I'd rather my daughter not marry anybody than to find such a perverted man! It's too scary."
"It's indeed scary."
