Ryan had always respected Sabrina. Besides, he loved Ruth very deeply. Therefore, when both of them were acting rashly, Ryan chose to give in. He nodded seriously. "Alright, Aunt Sabrina. I'll do as you say. I'll first take my leave. I'll wait for you to come to me."
After saying that, Ryan looked at Ruth again. "Ruth, I'll be waiting for you. I'll always be waiting for you. You can return t o Kidon City with me any time when you have changed your mind and are willing to do so."
Ruth did not look at Ryan. Ryan then looked at the two little ones. "Kids, say goodbye to daddy."
Both the brats turn their heads away with one looking to the left and the other looking to the right. After that, they uttered in unison. "Hmph!"
Ryan smiled awkwardly, and then he turned around and left. His back looked a little lonely, so Sabrina could not bear to look directly at him. She and Sebastian glanced at each other, but Sebastian did not say anything. It was not convenient for Sebastian to be involved in the conflict between Ryan and Ruth. Sebastian was a man, so he had never been involved in these trifling matters in a family. However, from the bottom of his heart, he was able to understand Ruth. That was because Sebastian had also once been a peasant, and he had also once lived a very difficult life wandering everywhere. He had once been rejected by the entire high society as well.
If it was up to him, he did not care about fitting into that high society at all. In Sebastian's understanding, he, himself, was high society! Therefore, he disdained caring about what others think, and he had never tried to fit himself into the Ford family. He had never even uttered the word "Dad" growing up. He had fought the world with his bare hands himself and made the entire high society bow down to him.
However, when a person had reached a certain level of greatness, he would choose to be indifferent and maintain his composure. He calmly glanced at Sabrina, which meant that nothing had to be forced. He understood Ruth. Sabrina understood what he meant, and she also understood Ruth. That was because she had also come from the bottom of this society and had endured all kinds of humiliations. In fact, t o put it bluntly, only one in million among the multitude of people in this world was part of the high society, right? The vast majority of the people, on the other hand, were all living at the bottom of the society, where there was flesh and blood, arguments, envy, jealousy, and all sorts of joys and sorrows in life. How could there b e so much decency?
That weekend, when Sabrina and Sebastian left Vireo's house, they were still very very relieved about Vireo's life and work. They knew that even though the entire Payne family had been completely destroyed, which would make Vireo sad for a while, all of that would pass. From then o n, Vireo would be truly ushering in a new life for him and Isadora. Oh, right, there was his mother, Elsa, as well. Vireo was a reliable man. There was no need for anybody to be worried about his future for him. He would be able to do very well.
Therefore, Sabrina and Sebastian, as well a s the others, left his house feeling relieved.
One after another, the group of people left Vireo's house. After they had left the entrance of the neighborhood, Marcus called out to Sabrina when she was about t o get into the car. "Sabrina."
Sabrina gently looked at Marcus. "What’s the matter, Marcus?"
Marcus had always been gentle, reliable, and sensible. When Ruth and Ryan were arguing at Vireo's house, Yvonne spoke, but Marcus had kept his silence the entire time, so much so that the people present even overlooked Marcus' existence." Sabrina, I have always had a very good relationship with Marcus. We've worked together for so many years, and we've started an architectural design firm together. However, we have never gotten mad at each other and we never fought. I can say that both of us are very good buddies."
