Aino even rubbed the back of her hands against the sharp rocks.
Finally, the three brothers had fallen asleep.
The young lady broke herself free very quickly. The ropes that were typing her up were very loose and they were unable to tie her down at all. She untied herself very quickly and walked out of the cave. The outside of the cave was pitch-black darkness. Aino
immediately was scared to tears. However, in order to see her parents sooner and not be controlled by the bad people, no matter how afraid she was, she also had to bite the bullet and walk out.
Even though Aino's eyes were shut, she had committed all the roads and routes to memory. After walking in the darkness for a while and after she had found her hearings, she accurately made all the turns. With that, Aino spent a full hour before she quietly made it down the mountains and came to a proper road.
At that moment, the day had already dawned. Aino hid behind a big tree that was unremarkable and looked at the cars heading to the city that had passed by.
Many cars had passed by and she did not stop any of them. Sometimes, it was a big truck. Sometimes, it was a small car. There were plenty of them. Aino was able to keep calm and not stop any of them. If she were to meet a bad person again after she hailed a car, then it would have been better for her to be abducted by her three uncles from the Shaw family. Aino was no idiot. She just waited there like that.
She waited for a few more hours, and finally, she saw a truck driving over from a distance. That was a compact pickup truck. The truck was green in color and it had bold and large letters on it that spelled ' Downtown Lakewood Middle School'. That was the truck that the Lakewood Middle School used to transport the vegetables they bought. Aino immediately ran out from behind the big tree, stood in the middle of the road, and raised both her hands to stop the truck.
The driver was an old man. The man saw that the child was quite tall but she just looked like a child, so he immediately asked, "Kid, where did you come from? What happened to you? Do you need any help? Don't be afraid. I am a logistics worker at Lakewood Middle School." "Sir." Aino instantly burst out crying. She did not say that she had been abducted. She only said that she and her classmates were separated and her house was nearby Lakewood Middle School. The driver immediately let Aino get in, and then let her sleep on her own at the back of the truck. He even gave her a blanket to cover herself. Just like that, she arrived at Lakewood Middle School after a bumpy journey.
After Aino got off the truck, Aino immediately called her mother without missing a beat. She wanted to tell her mother that she was out of danger as soon as possible.
Her entire family was so frightened that they broke out in cold sweat all over after they heard what Aino had been through. However, the child was only in shock and not in any danger, so everybody smiled again. Marcus and his parents, in particular, felt that a weight had been lifted off their shoulders.
Marcus came to Aino. "Aino, let me ask you something. You said that those three uncles ... bad people, they actually were not that fierce to you, and they even said not to tie you up too tightly for fear of hurting your skin, right?”
Aino did not understand why Marcus asked her that. She only nodded her head." Mm-hmm. It was indeed like that.
However, they still abducted me. All abductors are not good people!"
"You're right, Aino," said Marcus.
After saying that, he lifted his head and looked at Sebastian. "Sebastian, you see, Aino has already returned. After all, my three brothers also didn't—"
Right at that moment, Sebastian's phone rang. He glanced at his phone and answered the call. "Hello?"
"Sebastian Ford! Prepare one hundred billion for us as the ransom for your daughter!" It was Keegan's vicious voice at the other end of the call.
