"What did you say?" Vincent thought that he had heard it wrong.
"Get married to me within a week," Belinda repeated.
Vincent was speechless. He did not understand it. How could a lady from a big city like a poor man like him who came from the mountains and want to marry him? In order to get married to him, Belinda was even willing to pull such a trick?
"How can that be?" Vincent said sarcastically.
There was a pause before he said again, "I don't understand the game that you people from the city play. However, since Helena had already fallen into your hands, I will give you whatever you want. I would even give you my life if you wanted it. Please don't joke with me anymore, Miss Kelley!"
"I am not joking with you!" Belinda said. There was a king of possessive expression on her face as she looked at Vincent. "I had long taken a fancy to you. You have good grades and you are kind. Other than being poor, everything about you is great!
However, you are poor and I am rich! That is why we are the best match, isn't it? If you were to get married to your sister, who is not related to you by blood, both of you would be in love, but both of you are dirt poor, so both of you will be poor all your lives!"
"I'm sorry, Miss Kelley. Us being poor is our business. I don't want to marry you. I am also not used to your social circle of wealthy people. I just wanted to be together with Helena," Vincent said.
"Then just wait for her to die being messed up by others!" After saying that, Belinda revealed a vicious gaze.
Vincent was speechless.
