"No, there's no way to reincarnate in this world," Kingston said gently.
Eevonne sobbed and cried even harder. " How great would it be if I could be reincarnated? How great would it be to be reborn? I would study well and go to college. I certainly would work hard at my job. I would never do those vain things anymore. I would never compare myself to my cousins anymore. Never again.
However, it's all too late now. It's too late now!" She sobbed.
"Is it too late?" Kington interjected her and asked calmly.
"What do you mean, Kingston?" Eevonne asked.
He shrugged. "Silly girl. You're not even thirty this year. You're still so young, so how could everything be too late?
Everything that you said was just common mistakes that a young person would make. I told you that there are many people in this world who have made mistakes but don't even realize their own mistakes their whole lives. Therefore, they would never correct their mistakes their whole lives. For example..."
Speaking of that, Kingston thought of Lily, Selen, and Mindy. All these girls were far vainer than Eevonne and even more vicious than her. Two of the girls wanted to pay a small price to trade for a huge victory and to forcefully take what was not theirs. To put it bluntly, they were simply doing things for their selfish reasons and to satisfy their vanity.
In order to satisfy their vanity, those girls no longer had any limits, so much so that they did not even hesitate to harm another person's life. In comparison to them, Eevonne's tiny bit of vanity simply was not even worth mentioning.
In just a few minutes, Kingston had almost already thought it through. His instinct was telling him that the girl in front of him did not seem like she was lying to him. If she truly was lying, she would not have made up this kind of story. The majority of her story was about her blaming herself, and she did not make herself very pitiful. She was always facing her flaws head-on. Besides, even if the girl was lying to her and was trying to make up stories to cheat him out of his money, so what?
At that moment, Kingston still had not revealed his identity. In that small county up north, nobody knew that he was a wealthy person. He then made up his mind that he would never lend money to this girl no matter what. That would be fine, would it not?
If everything the girl said was true and he did not lend her a hand at that moment, she truly might fall into the abyss.
The girl was right. The story of a mistreated girl rising to the top only existed in fairytales. In the fairytale, even if any mishaps were to happen to the girl, a prince would come to her rescue.
In reality, the majority of girls, especially girls who came from the village to work in the big city, were suffering all sorts of injustice like Eevonne. The majority of them wanted to live with their heads held high and wanted to take the lead for once, but they often got the opposite of what they wanted.
Who in this world did not have a little bit of vanity? Everybody has it.
Sabrina was the only girl in the entire South City who was so mentally strong that even if she was dressed like a beggar and dragging a duffel bag that was broken beyond repair, she still appeared in front of Sebastian without any fear. Sabrina was the only girl like that in the entire South City
"For example, what, Kingston?" Eevonne asked seriously, tilting her head.
"You have to remember that you're a pure, kind, and brave girl that is hard to come by. You're very brave," Kingston comforted her.
He did not tell Eevonne about the nasty things in South City that happened to Sabrina. All those nasty things in the wealthy families were not something Eevonne could encounter. She was already very weak at that moment, so why should he tell her all that?
