Still Wanna Escape After Stealing My Heart? novel Chapter 267

They had to be mindful of being appropriate.

"Alex, I'm only here today because you invited me. God knows if Sebastian is going to cut me some slack. I mean, you know better than I do just how merciless that guy is. I am more than happy to make peace with the man, I just don't know if he feels the same!" The man who spoke had a scar across his face and looked t o be in his thirties. Despite his vicious looks, the woman seated next to him was an enchanting beauty.

"Kelvin!" Alex was unforgiving in his tone. "Let me tell you, you don't really have the right to complain about how Sebastian wouldn't cut you some slack. Even me, who practically grew up with the guy, haven't been shown much mercy! He might be cruel, but he would never stab someone in the back. Think about what you did back then. If you hadn't set him up that day, Aunt Grace wouldn't have ended up in jail, not to mention dying from illness afterward. How could Sebastian overlook this and make peace with you?"

"I was forced into it by Sebastian's brothers. The Ford family pretty much ruled over the South City at the time. Had I not complied, they would have shut down every single operation of the White Family in the Southwest coast. What could I do?" Kelvin lowered his voice with resignation.

"So just admit you did wrong back then and apologize!

" Alex snorted. "Kelvin, I'm only helping you with this t o honor my comradeship with your late brother back when we were in the army together. I will not be held responsible as to whether you can make peace with Sebastian."

"I understand. Thank you, brother," Kelvin responded. Coincidently, that was when Sebastian pushed open the doors and stepped in. Everyone in the room stood i n unison at the man's entrance.

"Sebastian!" Alex called out.

Two men that were of similar age as Alex beside him also stood with a smile and said, "Sebastian, here you are."

Sebastian nodded casually, his grip on Sabrina's hand was firm the entire time. Sabrina, too, remained composed and unwavering. It set her apart from all the women in the room, especially with the white dress she was wearing.
