On the third day after Phoebe came to make a scene, which was the third day after Eevonne signed the contract with Dash's company, Eevonne planned to go to Dash's company for an inspection. Before she departed, someone came looking for her.
That person came directly to the company and specifically requested to see Eevonne.
"Eevonne, you're so busy. There’s another partner company specifically requested to look for you. They seemed to know you. Hurry up and go and have a look," a female colleague kindly notified Eevonne.
Eevonne was stunned. "Looking for me? It hasn't been that long since I started handling business independently. Why would there be so many people who know me?"
Upon saying that, Eevonne laughed in a self -mocking manner. "Actually, other than Dash, there's really rarely any company that knows me. They have specially requested to look for me. Could it be that Dash truly did not want to see me anymore, so he handed the work in his hand to another person from his company to handle? If that's the case, then it's good too. It'll be easier on me this way as well."
As she said that, Eevonne had already let it go. She arranged all of the documents for Dash's company and intended to recount them to the new partner once again. In the end, when she came to the reception room, Eevonne, however, was stunned.
The man opposite her was more than forty years old. His sideburns were already slightly gray, but the man's imposing air, condescension, and arrogant characteristic were still there. Even after almost a decade, Eevonee could still recognize the man in the reception room at a glance. After all, that situation that Eevonne was in back then, whether it was life or work, it was all too torturous. It was so torturous that Eevonne was better off dead.
When she saw this man, the days in the past when Eevonne almost went psycho became vivid again. She suddenly felt that the world was really very, very small. It was so small that even though she had always thought that she would never meet a certain person again in this life, she would still meet him again at some point. Could this be what they called fate? If something was meant to happen, it could never be avoided.
Eevonne stood up straight, relaxed her
shoulders, maintained a calm gaze, and then inhaled deeply. After she exhaled, she hugged her stack of documents and entered.
"What a coincidence, Mister Lowe? Are you here to discuss business with our company?" Eevonne asked calmly.
Deacon Lowe looked at Eevonne as if he was examining her. "Eevonne, how did you infiltrate such a big company?"
Eevonne was first stunned for a moment, then she looked at Deacon calmly. "Mister Lowe, I don't understand what you’re talking about. I am now an employee of the Ford Group. You came to the Ford Group and you've specifically asked to see me, so I have to ask as a form of formality, are you here to discuss business?" "I am asking you a question! Can you understand human language?" Deacon asked incomparably sternly.
Eevonne forced herself to hold back her anger. "Mister Lowe, I'll answer you seriously. I can understand human language. I want to ask you, do you have the right to ask me why I'm here? In what position are you asking me that? Are you here to do a background check on me? If you don't have the right to ask, then please don't ask me that. You're now in the Ford Group. I am an employee of the Ford Group. I would like to ask you once again, did you specifically ask to see me to discuss business with me?"
Deacon was speechless. After a long while, he said, "You're very capable now! Your tricks in lying are getting more and more advanced! How many people have you argued with in the company? How many mistakes have you made? Could you first tell me that? Oh, you're more mature than before now, and your competency should have improved a little, so you should make fewer mistakes than before now, right?
Then, I do want to ask you, how did you, a person who almost went psycho, infiltrate such a big company like this? How did you fool the human resource department of your company?"
