Deacon's face turned red and then as white as a sheet before it got reddened again. She was right. What was his intention back then?
Back then, Eevonne just did not have a diploma, but she was very capable at work. Eevonne has great talents in terms of coordination, data, and cost calculations. If he could succeed in brainwashing such an employee and let her be so inferior that she felt she could not find a job anymore and would be cast aside by others if she were to leave the company, then she would be working like a dog for the rest of her life while being paid the minimum wage. That was what Deacon was thinking, and also what he did. Also, he was very successful at it.
He had never treated Eevonne as a person and had never let her have any dignity. He brainwashed her every now and then to let her think that she was so nasty, shameless, and had made plenty of offensive mistakes.
Over time, Eevonne became a little neurotic. In that state, Eevonne was terrified of losing her job. She had been living in fear every day. Deacon even found out a few times through the surveillance camera that because Eevonne did not do a costing well, she secretly worked overtime by herself at the company until daybreak. She pulled an all-nighter, but she still did not dare to tell anybody. She was afraid that other people would say that she did not work hard or was not serious. In fact, there were few girls around Eevonne's age in the company who were working as assistants. Even though they were college graduates, none of them could do a better job than Eevonne.
However, Deacon had never praised Eevonne. He thought that that was very good. If he did not praise Eevonne, she would not be arrogant and complacent, and she would always feel that she was doing poorly. In those three years, Eevonne’s performance has always been at the top, but she had never had a salary increment. Not only that, but she even became the punching bag for the entire company. Since then, everybody in the company would use Eevonne to release their pressure whenever they feel irritated. That was very helpful to the psychological state of the employees of the company. However, over time, Eevonne became the most hated person in the company.
Deacon, included, also hated Eevonne. He indeed hated her very much. He hated Eevonne for groveling and for fawning over others without a limit, and he felt that Eevonne was really like a dog. When he hated Eevonne more and more, he also realized that Eevonne s mental state was breaking down more and more. When she could no longer endure so much anymore, the company directly fired Eevonne. In any case, they had already earned their money's worth from Eevonne in those three years. Also, after they fired Eevonne, they could also let Eevonne know that with her situation at that time, she would never be able to find any job. Perhaps she might even return to the company someday. If that were the case, then the company would still want to hire her.
Since she would be paid a very low salary, she would still be abused by the entire company. She would be an inexpensive employee who could also be the punching bag for the entire company, so why would he not want her?
However, Deacon had overlooked the fact that Eevonne was a human. Not only was she a human, but she was also very smart. At least, she was very smart when it came to capability at work. She just had an incomparably delicate mind and a poor ability to manage her emotions. A smart person would have a smart way to do things. After Eevonne was fired from Deacon's company, she continued to make fake resumes and muddle through, and she got better and better at her job.
Also, as Eevonne had learned from her precious experience, she never had a conflict with the people at her new job anymore. She worked very diligently and everything was going very smoothly. If she had not pretended to know Spanish when the opposite was true, if she had not let the confidential information of the company leak, Eevonne would have done very well working at that company. Not only that, but she would have also had a romantic relationship. Unfortunately, Eevonne did not get what she wished for.
A lie was still a lie, after all.
Eevonne learned from her mistakes and worked harder as she continued to walk forward in life. The more she changed, the better she became. The more she changed, the more outstanding she got.
Ten years later, she was sitting in the comfortable office of the Ford Group's fashion department and was communicating with the person-in-charge from abroad in fluent Spanish.
