"You bitch! Scammer! You'll die a horrible death! Dad, Mom, don't believe her. She's a bad person who would do all sorts of heinous acts!" Mila shouted from the elevator.
The elevator arrived on the first floor very quickly. Mila grabbed onto the elevator door with all her might and main as she was not willing to get out of there. She lifted her head and looked at Minerva with her face covered in tears. "If you were to continue dragging me out of here, I'll kill myself by knocking my head on the wall right here!"
Minerva crossed her hand on her chest and looked at Mila very firmly. "You’re willing to kill yourself here, so you're not going to care about your children anymore?
Mila’s voice was extremely miserable. "My parents and my children are just as important. I miss my children very much, but at least my children have a good home. They are now at the Shaw Residence. The Shaw family would not mistreat two children. I'm not worried about them. But it's different for my parents! They are being cheated and used right now. If I don't care about them, their lives might even be endangered!”
"You should first think about how you're going to get through the police. A woman like you, who lied through your teeth and came all the way to their house to trick them, should be locked up for a couple of decades and punished severely!" Minerva looked at Mila angrily. There were people watching around them as well.
"What's going on?" "Who...who is she?”
"Why is she crying here? It seems to be related to the Yates family. Well, the elderly couple from the Yates family is so pitiful. They've lost their only child at such an old age. That's already pitiful enough. They really should never ever be cheated by someone out there on top of all that."
"You heard it, right?" Minerva looked at Mila, who was sitting on the floor, refusing to get up, and grabbing the elevator door. Mila lifted her head and looked at the group of onlookers that were surrounding them. All of them were pointing fingers at her and criticizing her as if they desperately wanted to drown her with their words. Mila's heart sank gradually. Could it be that she really does not even have a chance to defend herself anymore? She made up her mind and ran toward the elevator door while holding her head.
However, Mila did not expect Minerva's movements to be quicker than hers. She lifted her hand and hit Mila behind her head. Mila then instantly became unconscious. Everyone around her was stunned by what they saw.
"It's fine. It's fine. She's fine. She is just a scammer and I'm a surgeon. This is nothing extraordinary. Don’t be shocked. Come on, help me carry her and take her to the police station. We'll let the police handle this."
She was right! They should take her to the police station. That was the least deceitful place! The crowd in the neighborhood was willing to help. They carried Mila into the car very easily, and then a few of them followed the car and took Mila to the police station. Minerva has been by Mila's side the whole time and keeping an eye on her. After an unknown amount of time, Mila woke up. She lifted her head and looked around. Everything was in white.
"Where am I?" Mila asked weakly.
"This is the hospital. It's a more covert and safe place," Minerva said.
Only then did Mila regain her senses.
When she saw Minerva, she immediately retreated in fear. "What...what do you want to do? "
Minerva smiled. "Don't be afraid. I'm not going to do anything. I'm just following my Aunt Sabrina's orders, so I'm taking care of you here."
Mila sneered. "All of you are a bunch of heartless things! You will cause my parents to die! No...I already forgot that all of you have never believed that I am Yvonne."
"I believe you. Aunt Sabrina believes you. Aino also believes you. We believe that you’re Yvonne,” Minerva said very seriously.
