Sabrina asked Nigel with a trembling voice, "Master Nigel, take me to see my brother. Would that be okay?"
The way she looked when she was pleading with Nigel appeared to be incomparably anxious and pitiful in the eyes of the few male colleagues. It was the anxious feeling of losing the closest relatives. The male colleagues could understand Sabrina.
They did not see any misbehavior between Sabrina and Nigel.
Instead, what they saw was Sabrina looking for her brother. They really could not resent her for being such a sister who valued familial relationships so highly.
Over on this side, Nigel nodded, "Mmm, I would take you there now!"
Sabrina grabbed her bag and went out with Nigel. She was in a rush and did not manage to inform the director and punch out. She hurried off. When Sabrina had left the design department, the few male colleagues from the department started to converse with each other.
"I noticed that you women were just looking for something to do. You've had too much free time!"
"Do you know why you didn’t have as much advantage as us men in architecture designing? It was because
you didn't put your mind on the design and spent your whole day thinking of how to fiddle with others!"
"Weren't you guys tired? Half a month ago, I heard you guys were chattering every day about Master Sebastian, who had captured and brought a woman back from the remote mountain area and so on. You had talked about the person for so many days, but had you seen the woman before?"
"Did you know her name?
"You didn't even know anything and only followed rumors all day long!"
"It hadn’t been easy for us to have a seasoned employee. Unfortunately, you didn't learn from her, but you shifted all the gossip onto the new employee and made irresponsible remarks instead!"
"I really had nothing else to say about you bunch of women!"
The few male colleagues have recently had several incidents where they could not stand how this group o f women bullied Sabrina all day. However, they could tell that Sabrina was not the person who would bring trouble to herself. She did not seek trouble but also was not a worthless loser that could be easily messed with.
