Throughout the entire bus ride, Sabrina's thoughts were occupied by Lynn.
Ever since she was twelve, Lincoln was the one who had paid for her food, lodging and education. Even though he never spared her a smile or gave her any more allowance than was needed, Sabrina still craved for his love and affection.
Just a little would've been enough.
After all, the thing she lacked the most in life was familial affection.
Nevertheless, Lincoln never spared her any.
Now, Sabrina didn’t need his love and affection anymore. Instead, the hatred she had built up towards the Lynn family over the years was starting to overflow. Even if she couldn’t take revenge today, Sabrina was still going to make their life difficult after this.
As the bus was moving, Sabrina slipped her phone out to take a look at the time. Coincidentally, a call came right at that moment.
She held it up and saw that it was Marcus.
Though Sabrina resented Old Master Shaw, she still couldn't bring herself to hate Marcus.
Marcus had helped her and Zayn so much, and even
managed to get her a job in architectural design by putting in a good word with the partners of the firm. She considered all these for a moment and answered," Hello, Master Shaw.”
Her tone was calm and her words brief.
At the other end of the call, Marcus sounded extremely anxious, "Sabrina, what's going on with that video?"
Sabrina replied bluntly, "It’s just as you see it."
Marcus, voice still shaky, replied, "How is this possible? I know that you aren't the kind of person who would do something like this. Did someone frame you again? Tell me."
Sabrina answered harshly, "What do you want me to tell you? That someone framed me? Let me just say that there is nothing going on, everything is as you see it. I'll hang up if you don’t have anything else to say."
With that, she ended the call.
