The group of women there had usually acted righteously and tried their best to maintain a clean image.
Yet when they wanted to curse at a person, these ladies could be much meaner and more despicable than anyone. In fact, they were no better than the quarrelling ladies you would find at the markets.
They fought over each other for the chance to speak, a s if they were afraid that someone else would copy what they planned to say.
As he watched those women rebuking Sabrina like that, Nigel felt great remorse in his heart.
He had always believed that Sabrina's misfortunes were a result of his wrongdoings.
If only he didn't toy around with her six years ago.
If he had just shown a bit of kindness to Sabrina and the child in her belly back then, she could have been living a peaceful life now, doing a job that she likes.
Yet, because of how he had behaved like an animal in front of Sabrina, Nigel had caused her to gain a bad reputation in front of his grandfather and parents.
One thing led to another, and in the end, his grandfather even gathered the entire upper class to attack Sabrina together, tainting her name in South City altogether. 1
That was the sole reason why she was caught in this predicament now.
Nigel said to her in a low voice, "Sabrina, follow me, we'll go overseas and never come back. From today o n, no one can insult you anymore. Let's go! I'll take you away right now!”
After saying that, he got ready to kick the women that surrounded them away and to fight their way out the hall.
However, Sabrina did not move at all.
