At the thought that the manager of the HR department had asked her to go to work, Sabrina took it as encouragement. Everything that happened yesterday was in the past. Even the nasty comments and rumors about her online couldn't be traced anymore, as if it was nothing but a nightmare. Sabrina didn’t want to think about the past, only focusing on the future. In the future, she would be an extremely successful architect, then she would return to her hometown and visit her mother’s grave. Maybe she might even move her parents' grave to South City, so she could go and visit them often.
And she wanted to seek revenge on the Lynn family. Especially on Lincoln Lynn. If her guess was accurate, then the person she hated the most in this world was Lincoln Lynn.
On the way to her office, Sabrina was busy thinking about these matters and didn't speak to Sebastian. Luckily, Sebastian was a man of few words. He didn't find the silence awkward. Instead the moment Sabrina organized her thoughts, she turned around and saw that his tie was askew and had loosened.
Suddenly, she remembered that she was the one who'd tied his tie this morning. Was it her poor technique? She had just tied it, how come it loosened s o soon? Sabrina turned and leaned towards him. She raised her head to look at him, both her hands already
on his tie, mumbling softly, "How come your tie is so crooked? You'll look sloppy if you go to the office like this. Sit straight, I’ll redo your tie.”
Sebastian was silent. Kingston almost drove the car into a tree. He was drenched in cold sweat, slamming o n the brakes and turning the steering swiftly to the side, only then did he successfully avoid knocking into anything.
Sebastian pulled Sabrina into his arms just in time, if not she would have knocked her head hard. Sabrina turned and looked at Kingston. "Assistant Yates, what’s wrong? Are you exhausted today?”
She frowned at Sebastian. "I've never seen Assistant Yates take a break. Why don’t you give him a vacation so he can rest? He’s been working so hard, it's normal t o feel tired while driving."
Sebastian nodded. "Okay, I'll get him more days off in the future."
Kingston yawned a few times in a row.
"Assistant Yates, are you sick?” Sabrina asked, concerned.
Kingston wasn’t sure how to reply. He had been caught off guard by her actions earlier. He had been used to seeing his boss act all lovey-dovey recently, but he wasn't used to seeing Madam like this too. How could he suddenly withstand her all-too-natural and yet explosive sweet act?
Before Kingston could reply, Sebastian let out an exceptionally loud burp.
Sabrina looked at Sebastian. "What's wrong with you?"
