On the other end of the call, Marcus’s mother answered with a surprised tone. "Marcus, it's so rare for you to call me over the phone. I know that you're probably going to say something about Selene not being your cousin, and that it's supposed to be Sabrina. Marcus, does who it is really matter? "Selene is doing a good job now, so isn't that enough?

Marcus waited for his mother to finish speaking before replying. "Mom, I’m not calling you about Sabrina or Selene. I just wanted to ask you about my aunt and uncle's death back then. Do you know the details of what happened?"

His mom seemed taken aback by his question." Marcus, why are you asking about this? Are you worried that Mindy doesn't have enough to live on? If you are truly worried about her, that does make me feel pleased. Don’t worry, her bank account may be frozen now, but I still have some private savings which is enough for her monthly expenses.
