The lady wasn't lying. A beauty like her would look great in anything.
"Hehe! Aunty, I'm giving you my medicine candy!" Aino jumped up and down cheerfully and propped herself up, trying to deliver the candy into the lady's mouth.
The lady instinctively blurted out, "Little princess, is this candy a soft one or a hard one?"
"It's hard on the outside and soft on the inside," Aino whispered mischievously.
The lady instantly understood her intention and refused to become yet another victim of her prank. She placed the candy into her mouth gingerly and bit down. "Oh...it really is soft! Really sweet, too!"
"Hahaha! I wasn't tricking you, aunty!" Aino laughed smugly.
"Mm...very sweet!" The lady replied, and she wasn't simply referring to the candy. The Ford couple and their little princess had filled the air with sweetness from the way they interacted with one another.
Though there had been incidents at the very beginning, the party ended on a good note.
The family gathering had introduced Sabrina into the South City elite community and she couldn't be happier. Sebastian had made her the center of
attention by getting down on one knee and helping her into her heels as everyone watched. She doubted i f she could ever forget what Sebastian had done for her and the warmth she felt in her heart for the rest of her life. She even thought of rewarding her husband with all the love she could offer when they finally headed home for the night.
It wasn't until late in the afternoon when all the guests had left. The old Madam Ford held onto Sabrina's hand and refused to let go as she begged with the gentlest voice. "Sabbie, the three of you should move here to live. We have plenty of servants here to take good care of you."
Sabrina didn't know what to say in response. Frankly, she was slightly reluctant to stay in the old Ford residence. It was too far from her office and Aino's kindergarten so traveling back and forth would be an issue. In the end, she smiled and said, "Grandma, I would love to live here with you, but..."
Halfway through her sentence, she turned around and winked mischievously at Sebastian. She wanted to throw the difficult question off to her husband. It was his grandmother, after all.
"Grandmother, you will have to come live with us if you want to see Sabrina and Aino every day." Sebastian deadpanned.
Pfft! Sabrina immediately had to suppress her laughter.
"Very well," said the old Madam Ford, "but you are going to visit us more frequently, not just once every month or so. Grandma is going to miss you."
Sabrina nodded obediently. "Of course! We will visit more often!" Though Sean and his wife didn't like them, Sabrina decided that they would make more time to come and visit the old Madam Ford.
The three stayed until dusk and left the old Ford residence. Aino was exhausted by all the excitement and was already asleep in the car. Sabrina, too, felt like she was going to pass out any second. She leaned her head over Sebastian's shoulder and teased," Hubby, I'm going to pamper you once we get home."
Sebastian's eyes widened in shock at Sabrina's sudden flattering.
