Sabrina headed for the forklift without any hesitation and stood in its way.
Seeing this, the forklift driver jumped in shock and immediately stopped his work. He shouted angrily after jumping down from his seat, "Do you want to die?! Even if you do, you shouldn't stand here and cause more trouble for me. Just who do you think you are?! Go away, go away, don't get in the way of our work!"
Despite the man's fierce tone, Sabrina simply stood there without moving, "This is my house, I never agreed for it to be demolished!" 1
Seeing as the forklift driver was speechless, she raised her head and looked at the faces surrounding her.
She didn’t recognise a single familiar face.
Her old neighbors were nowhere in sight, or maybe they just looked completely different now.
Right then, an old and wizened voice called out from behind her, "Sabbie, is that you Sabbie?"
Sabrina immediately turned around and saw a hunched-back, 80-year-old old man. After some hesitation, she asked, "You are...?" "Are you Sabbie?" The elderly man asked again.
"I'm Sabbie, Sabrina Scott. My father is Sheldon Scott and my mother...”
Before she could even finish her sentence, the old man suddenly turned emotional. "Finally, someone from your family is here..."
Sabrina didn’t know how to react. She didn’t recognise the old man or understand what he was trying to say.
She asked politely, "Sir, you are..."
