Sabrina raised her head to look at Sebastian, her face reddening.
Finishing his toast, the man got up to leave, ignoring Sabrina.
She was left speechless.
It was Kingston, who had been standing by the side, who suddenly approached her and said in a low voice, "Miss Scott, you look much better when you're embarrassed and confused." 1
With that, he followed his master, heading out of the diner.
Sabrina gulped down her food before leaving as well. A s she did not see Sebastian's car outside the diner, she thought that Sebastian had left. She stood alone at the entrance of the diner, thinking quietly to herself.
Not far away, Sebastian observed Sabrina from within the car.
Standing alone like that, she looked like a thin leaf in the wind. Her expression seemed a little willful, but was more so unfamiliar.
He also saw a lonely, helpless girl.
"Go investigate whose child it is she has inside her," h e suddenly told Kingston.
Kingston started, "Where... Where should I begin? If she doesn't want to say who the child is, then I'm afraid..."
"The Lynn Family," Sebastian said, "she stayed with the Lynn Family for eight years, they must know everything about her. Start there."
"I understand. Then, about Miss Selene..."
Kingston did not know what possessed him to suddenly bring up Selene.
He knew that Sebastian did not like her at all, hated her, even. However, because she had saved his life before, Sebastian had no choice but to marry her.
Sebastian ignored Kingston's words, saying calmly, " Drive."
Kingston silently let out a sigh of relief.
As the car pulled away, Kingston glanced through the rear view mirror at the girl who was still standing alone in front of the diner.
In his mind, he felt like Sabrina was still too inexperienced to go up against Sebastian.
