"Sabrina!" Selene's proud and elegant voice sounded o n the other end of the phone.
Sabrina was silent.
She did not take a close look at the incoming number, but she was certain it was not Selene's phone number. Hearing her voice, Sabrina placed the phone closer to her eyes and took a look. She then realized the number looked very odd. It was two to three digits shorter than domestic numbers.
What was happening?
"Where are you now?" Sabrina was a smart woman, and she seemed to know what was going on.
"You must have guessed. I'm overseas now!" Selene said proudly.
Sabrina was speechless.
She did not expect that.
Her mind was lost for a long moment. Finally, she stuttered and was unable to produce a coherent sentence,
On the other end, Selene could guess Sabrina must be shocked. Her tone turned even more boastful," Sabrina, yesterday you said your cousin Coral is dead.
I knew that's true. I know, you said you hated my father and me. I knew you must have hated me so
much, haha! Now that you hear we’ve already escaped overseas, don’t you hate us even more?"
"Are you so angry you feel like vomiting blood?”
"Oh, you need a pail to keep all your blood...”
Sabrina did not say anything.
It was impossible for her not to feel an ounce of anger or hatred.
