Kingston sighed. "I'm 99% sure that is the truth.”
The six year old little kid did not understand what he meant by bringing up 99%, so she asked again, "That old man from the Lynn family, is my Mommy's daddy?”
Kingston nodded. "Yes."
The moment he said that, the little girl started crying. Just a moment ago, she was like a little warrior, swearing to protect her mother, wanting to hook the old man with two metal hooks. How did she start crying just a moment later?
"What's wrong, little princess?" Kingston was terrified.
Aino wailed, "Why? Why did this happen, Uncle Kingston? Shouldn't fathers love and cherish their daughters, just like my Daddy loves me? But why doesn't my Mommy's daddy love her? Instead, he loves my Mommy’s enemy! Why? Uncle Kingston, my Mommy is so pitiful."
Kingston sighed. Because she was just a six-year-old child, her thoughts and mindset weren't as complicated. She could not comprehend the evil and ruthlessness that adults had. All she knew was that, since he was her father, he should love his daughter b y right.
At these thoughts, Kingston deeply regretted telling
the little girl the truth. He immediately tried to comfort her. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, little princess. I was wrong, my judgement is inaccurate. The old man from the Lynn family, he...he’s not your mother's father, he's your mother’s enemy. I made a mistake, can...can you please forgive me?"
"Okay." The little girl broke out into a smile immediately. She was quick to forgive.
"But..." Aino had a condition. "Uncle Kingston, you have to help me make a very shark hook. I have to hook that old man’s nostrils, and drag him around. He'll be in pain every time I pull on the rope."
Kingston was dumbfounded. My dear little princess. 0 h dear ancestors. Are you going to drag your own grandfather around like a pig? But that evil, damnable old man did not even deserve to just be a pig. He deserved to die!
"Alright!" Kingston agreed immediately. "I'll help our little princess make a special weapon, strong enough t o hook your grandfather...I mean, strong enough to hook that old man from the Lynn family through his nostrils, and then I'll give you a piece of rope, so you can drag him around! Make him cry in pain!
"Yay! I must make that old man cry in pain! How dare he bully my Mommy!" Aino chided.
The two people, an adult and a little kid, stood in conversation outside the private room. They were not aware that Lincoln was indeed crying inside the room at that moment.
The situation was chaotic inside the room.
Lincoln fell into the chair in a heap from the pain. Selene and her mother were both scared silly. Old Man Shaw glared at Sebastian who just returned. He almost forgot how to speak.
Even though Sabrina was dazed too, her expression was calmer than anything else. She knew best what kind of man her husband was. Sebastian never gave any hints about his upcoming plans. When he acted, it was always swift and unexpected. And, he remained eerily calm every time. And yet left no room for compromise, every move ruthless and vicious.
"You..." Lincoln pointed at Sebastian in pain, but even after a few long minutes, could not produce any words. He clutched at the remaining stub that was once his finger, trying to stop the flow of fresh blood. H e looked at Sebastian in disbelief, eyes displaying his terror, yet not daring to do anything in response.
