Sebastian pulled Sabrina into his arms, his heart heavy with guilt.
"Mom, I miss you so much. Is it really you, mom?" Sabrina sobbed uncontrollably. "Why won't you come out and see me? Mom, Aino, Aino's dad, and I, we all miss you. Mom, could you please come out? Mom..." Her wailing started catching the attention of passersby and even Aino was shocked by the sight.
"Sabrina, you are scaring Aino. Don't cry," Sebastian whispered gently.
Sabrina tried her best to calm down and turned around to find Aino, who was at the brink of crying as well.
"Mommy..." Aino stepped towards Sabrina and said," Mommy, don't be sad, okay?"
"Baby..." Sabrina muttered.
"Actually, I bought you a gift as well. I wanted to wait until we get home to surprise you, but mommy, I want t o tell you what I bought for you right now," Aino reached out to her to offer her comfort.
Sabrina wrapped her arms around Aino. "I'm sorry, baby, did mommy scared you?"
Aino wiped the tears off Sabrina's face like a miniature adult. "Mommy, my gift to you is an old lady
doll. That doll looks super kind and gentle." "Why did you buy mommy this as a present?" Sabrina was confused.
"I know that Mommy needs a mommy too, so I bought you this old lady doll. I'll bring it to you once we get home, so don't be sad anymore, mommy. Okay?"
Sabrina tightened her arms and pulled Aino closer." Mommy isn't upset, I'm really not upset anymore. Thank you, my baby. Come, let's go home."
She picked Aino up and went to cross the road, but stopped again after taking a step. She didn't want to give up. Sabrina turned around and shouted at the top of her lungs towards the alley, "Mom! If you are really my Mom, please wait for me. Don't be afraid. Don't worry, I am doing well. I have my own daughter, and Aino's dad is treating me well, too. Right now, I worry about you most. How did you get by staying outside when it rained two days ago in South City? Mom, if you are my Mom, please come out to see me. Every day you are out here, is another day I spend worrying. Mom...I am waiting for you to come for me."
When she was done, her face was once again damp with tears, and she wasn't the only one. Even Kingston, who was standing behind them, was blinking back tears. The four strolled back across the road and went into the car before driving into the residential area. After they had reached, Sebastian turned to Kingston and deadpanned, "Kingston, things that happened in Star Island have ended. From this second onward, you are to gather all personnel of the Ford Group to conduct a thorough search and find that old woman!"
"Yes! Master Sebastian!" Kingston immediately responded.
Sebastian nodded, before heading up with one arm carrying his daughter and the other wrapped around Sabrina. Kingston followed closely behind with all their belongings and left after setting them down inside. Both Aunt Lewis and Aunt Tianna were extremely happy to see the three back home.
"Master Sebastian, Mrs. Ford, little princess, you are finally back." Aunt Lewis took their bags and said," The old Master came by a few days ago, asking where you've been. I didn't dare to tell him the truth in fear that he might worry. Now, you are finally home. That's great, that's great."
Sabrina smiled at Aunt Lewis. "Thank you, Aunt Lewis, we are glad to have you here while we are gone. H
"We only did what was required of us. Mrs. Ford, you should go with Master Sebastian and the little princess to wash up and take some rest. I'm going to start preparing for dinner, I'll call you when it's ready. You must be exhausted after all that travelling, aren't you?" Aunt Lewis fawned over her in a motherly tone.
