"Yes, my dear..." Mrs. Conor replied with excitement.
On the other end, Sabrina felt slightly better. She hung up after a simple conversation with Sebastian's aunt before heading back to the bedroom to wash up. She woke Aino up for breakfast and, just when she was about to head out to drop Aino off to the kindergarten and then head to work, her phone rang. She took it out and grinned. It was from Yvonne and she immediately picked it up, "My beautiful Yvonne, why didn't you come pick us up at the airport yesterday?"
"So now you are bringing this up? Ruth and I were going to pick you up at the airport. You were the one who said that the old Master Shaw needed to talk to you guys about something important. So? Did you talk to him?" Yvonne asked.
Sabrina nodded. "Yeah, we did."
"Sabrina, that old thing didn't give you a hard time, did he?" Yvonne asked, worried.
"Yvonne, you are going to be marrying into the Shaw family, so you shouldn't hate on the old Master Shaw simply because I do," Sabrina whispered.
She had always thought that Yvonne hated the old Master Shaw because of her. Yvonne and Marcus's relationship had been going smoothly and she was to marry into the Shaw family in the future, which was
why Sabrina did not want Yvonne to be affected by her grudge with the old Master Shaw.
To her surprise, Yvonne sneered and said, "It's not like I want to hate him, but he just wouldn't let me be!"
"What's wrong?"
"He told Marcus that he won't let Marcus marry me right in front of my face. He said if Marcus chooses to marry me, he is going to break all ties with him and even get Marcus parents to do the same as well. How can that old thing be so abhorrent?" Yvonne's tone was extremely frustrated.
"Why won't he allow Marcus to marry you?" Sabrina asked, though she already had a general idea as to why the old Master Shaw acted that way.
"It's nothing. It has nothing to do with you," Yvonne stuttered.
